Crema's Take

Reverie Baking is a bright, thoughtfully designed cafe that doubles as home for Kin Kin roastery, giving you direct access to expertly roasted local coffee alongside espresso and pour over options. The space strikes that perfect balance between cozy enough for lingering with a laptop and welcoming enough for community events, all while their biscuits and fresh-baked pastries anchor the experience with genuine craft. It's the kind of place where the barista remembers you're there for more than just coffee—the hosts create a real sense of belonging.

I had no idea this place existed, but saw that they were hosting a valentines making card event. It was a dream! The host, Lola, is truly amazing and made everyone so at home. Everything you could have wanted was there: arts+crafts supplies, soft jazz music, coffee, wine, and baked goods. The baker even put together wonderful, custom chocolate boxes for the event. Creativity was encouraged and there was a friendly card making competition for anyone who wanted to win a fun prize. It was the best night and experience that was friendly for both a group of friends or a significant other for a date night. I will definitely be at the next event!!!! Ps. A great event if you are new to Madison or looking to make new friends, I went with a friend and left with a few more.

I want to preface I love this place and their biscuits and gravy but the one thing I absolutely hate is wasted time and getting robbed of my money I ordered 2 biscuits with gravy, 2 biscuits per order with egg on each. See photos, look what I got. Is that what I ordered? I don't think so. We waited a good amount of time for this too just for y'all to mess it up. A coffee was added as well 12 oz Total 34 dollars and some change and a 15% tip. Absolutely waste of money don't mess up people's orders again, not this bad at least. Dialogue: Hi, okay I'd like two orders of these, two biscuits with gravy with two biscuits, add egg You'd like 2 of those? Yes Okay anything else? Yea can I get an iced vanilla latte 12 or 16 oz? 12 please And whole milk's okay? Yes Alright and is this for here or to go? To go please And can I get a name? Insert name Alright thank you. Give me my money back or retrain ur staff to learn how to read. Why didn't I ask for it to be redone? Bc I was out of time and was expecting to get the correct order.

I mean this as the utmost complement: this place is hipster central. It’s a simple cafe with an excellent interior. The coffee was great! Kin Kin’s roastery (a local roaster) is also located here. The baked goods are delicious. For lunch we got the Piper with ham - one on a biscuit and the other on a bun. Would definitely recommend the bun, as the biscuit can overpower the rest of the sammy. Ya, you should definitely check this place out.

I had a great experience this morning at Reverie. The cafe is spacious and well lit. Big windows in the front let in lots of morning light. The menu is short and easy to navigate. The barista was very friendly and patient while I decided what I wanted. The service was rapid and she even walked my drink over to my table which I always appreciate so much. The muffin was really good and so was the coffee. I would come back for another drink anytime. Just make sure to watch your step as you enter!

Came to check out Reverie a few days after their grand opening and loved it! They have a case full of fresh baked goods (all fresh!) and a great selection of coffee and tea. I tried their cheddar chive biscuit and the chocolate almond scone. Both had great texture and flavor. The biscuit was crunchy around the edges, but still had fluffy center. The scone was fresh out of the oven and the chocolate was still melted! It wasn't too sweet and was so easy to eat. They serve Kin Kin coffee here and have house made syrups for lattes. The vanilla syrup tastes a little on the synthetic side. The employees were kind and courteous and service was quick. The newly renovated space is nicely decorated and clean. Can't wait to come back and try something new!
