Requiem: Coffee, Tea, and Fantasy
280 S Clementine St, Anaheim, CA
Crema's Take
“This whimsical fantasy-themed café transforms itself around immersive pop-up events, creating an escape that feels less like a coffee shop and more like stepping into another world—complete with giant D&D furniture and beautifully coordinated seasonal drinks and food. While the atmosphere and event execution clearly resonate with the community (especially the fantasy and animation fanbase), consistency with their core coffee and food quality seems to fluctuate depending on which pop-up or day you visit. If you're seeking a cozy, imagination-forward space with thoughtfully themed experiences and don't mind the occasional miss on execution, Requiem delivers genuine charm and an unforgettable vibe.”

This place was beautiful inside! I was accompanying friends to an Ironmouse Pop-up and had no idea what I was walking into. I was completely-pleasantly shocked. I ordered the Anarchy Latte and the Flancitos. Both were great! I ordered the latte with Oat Milk for a $1.00 upcharge (lame). The flan was great, very dense and the sauce was so sweet. The latte did not look like what was advertised on the social media page page. The decor was GORGEOUS!! It felt so magical inside. They had a shelf with books for you to read while there, a table full of boardgames and card games. There was a side room where people were playing DnD and there was a bunch of merch you could buy. We parked on a side street across from the huge church. The bathrooms were a surprise!
So I went here during the digital circus event. The most I can say is the place looks cute but even for the price I paid not even worth it. it lacks in food/drinks and lacks heavily in their events. First off it's not a big area you'll have better chances of finding a seat a Dunkin and experience was basically the willy Wonka event where people paid for me nothing just cheesy experience The drinks were ok I will admit they were good but felt like nothing special it was pretty expensive for a drink and small piece of chocolate that's no bigger than my hand. What was it 3 dollars ? The VIP reward scavenger hunt was a card that just tricks you into buying food and merch just to give you a post card and the staff telling you "congratulations you did this and it's rare " which is not because my cousin got the same card at a convention recently The main room just cut outs of the characters and video playing on mute of the episodes. There hardly any seats like I mentioned before. The tables are very sticky no one cleans them so it was uncomfortable. The merch shop had hardly anything to sell. There no restocking there nothing really Honestly I don't even feel the wait line necessary they should of just left the doors open and let people get in line for the drinks and the only thing I would do is put a wait line for merch shop so no one steals anything. Trust me the "cafe" area doesn't offer much and no one gonna stick around if they do less than 10 mins I'm sure. If you're gonna have an event at least do something better like karaoke, or fanfic reading, cosplay contest once a day thing. Something or anything to say make it worth the money and time. I don't think I'll be coming back but I do wish this place better and I hope they do better events
This place was pretty cool, went for the digital circus pop-up. The atmosphere was super awesome, loved the whimsical vibes and giant DnD chair and table. When we got there a lot of the food items were gone besides a few treats. My first drink, the zooble parts, tasted like water, however it was awesome that the staff exchanged the drink for me for the Funny One which was the Jax taro drink. That was SOOO good, I loved it.
My daughter wanted to check out this place after hearing about it from a friend. It wasn't quite what I expected but she was thrilled. The fantasy-themed decor makes it feel like an escape. The coffee drinks are on the sweeter side, which is not my favorite but our girls were thrilled. Seems like we were there the day after a big event because they were sold out of several food items but we are glad we went.
Went for the Over the Garden Wall event and it was beautifully decorated! The food and drinks fit the event so well and were delicious. They also had merch stands on the other side of the cafe where I bought some really nice cardigans and sweaters. They also had an area for board games and free play. We easily spent 2 hours here. The staff were so friendly and we has such a great time! Thank you SOOO much, will be coming again :)
