Tahoe City Chocolates

I would give 0 stars if possible. The owner is extremely rude, pushy, overbearing and disrespectful. He stepped WAY over the line . I left after he tried to tell me he knows my child better than me and knows more about children than me (an elementary school teacher). Upon telling him I will not be buying candy from him and started walking out he called out to my youngest child to come have a sample and tried to get her back into the store. This man should not own a candy shop. We went to the CVS in the shopping center next door where we were met with friendly staff and good candy ... thrilled!

Tahoe City Chocolate is a hidden treasure!! Do not miss it. We ended up purchasing a range of handmade chocolate ~ divine! ~ and had a wonderful conversation with lovely owner AK. Truly a highlight of our recent vacation!!

This place was sweet as their sweets! The old guy behind the counter was super nice and let us sample a lot of candy. I got a bag of the chocolate gummy bears and oh my, they were delicious! I liked that they sell other candies that I’ve never heard of before that came from outside of the country. Overall, highly recommend this little gem in the little mall for some sweets on the road!

We had a magnificent time learning about the different quality and location of chocolate and candy. Ev was super welcoming and gave us instructions and history of foreign and local candy's that fitted what each of us enjoyed.

Was craving some chocolate after a delicious lunch down the street. Did a simple Google search and journeyed our way to Tahoe City Chocolates. It's located inside a mall on the second floor. It's on the right hand side at the end of the hall when you are at the top of the staircase. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two friendly gentlemen, who were immediately eager to let us sample their sweet fare and introduce various imported chocolate. We tried so many samples we felt guilty! This is one of the most knowledgeable chocolate shops I've ever been. If you tell them what you like, they can recommend something to fulfill that craving! They offer plenty of homemade chocolate and imported chocolate/ candies you don't normally see, even in an import shop. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
