Little Susie's Coffee & Pie
2532 E Lehigh Ave, Philadelphia, PA
Crema's Take
“Little Susie's is a charming window-counter spot where you can grab a hand-held pie and expertly crafted coffee in one magical transaction, with a rotating selection of both classic and wildly creative seasonal flavors that keep regulars coming back. The staff's genuine warmth shines through in every interaction, and whether you're biting into a flaky apple pie with that perfect crunch or sipping an iced coffee where you can actually taste the fruit notes, there's a real care in how everything is made here. It's the kind of place that feels like a neighborhood institution, casual enough for a quick grab but special enough to linger and savor.”

You can walk up to a window and get coffee and a hand held pie. Literally, what could be more magical? Both are so delicious and special because the staff is sincerely kind and they keep interesting flavor combos coming (sweet or savory).. but mainly because you.. walk.. up.. to.. a.. window.. get.. coffee.. and.. pie. Perfect first experience was with a friend in the snow. But go earlier if you want all the options (they are understandably popular). They only had blueberry lemon pie when we got there right before closing, which tbh would be my pick anyway and was damnnnn good. :)
My wife and I used to go get bagels and coffee at least twice a week. We loved their bagels so much but they stopped serving bagels because it didn’t make sense financially. Make it make sense and bring the bagel back please. The most sad news I’ve ever heard. Not really a reason to go there anymore :/
I absolutely love this place! I love their rotating selections of pies. The chicken pot pie was flavorful and delicious! Their apple pies are awesome- the apples got a slight crunch to them, nice and fresh. My mom and I got an iced coffee and iced latte as well, both were wonderful. There’s some nice little picnic benches right outside to sit and eat/drink, too! It is right by the road on Lehigh, so unless the road is super busy it's not noisy at all. Between my mom and I, we got an iced coffee w/ mocha, iced latte w/ caramel, 2 chicken pot pies and an apple pie- the total coming out to $25. A great price for great food and drink in my opinion! If you’re having a bad day, it won’t be here!
Giving a 4.5. The iced coffee is great! I got the glazed cherry and I loved that I could really taste the cherry. It was perfect. The only complaint I have is that I think my pie was done slightly under. The dough was more chewy than flaky and the pie itself was not as dark as the other photos I saw which brought me to this conclusion. Great place though and will come again!
I love this place so much! Every pie they make is delicious. My favorite regular menu item is the Mushroom & Swiss pie. Their selection of limited edition/seasonal pies are amazing as well. Today I was helped by Amy and she provided the most wonderful customer experience. She made me a perfect pumpkin spice latte, complete with hand-drawn leaves on the cup. 🍂 Don’t miss the mini croissant dog treats that you’ll find on the counter - they’re free!
