Due South Coffee Roasters

Crema's Take
“This espresso-focused roastery in Greenville has earned a loyal following for its thoughtful approach to coffee education and genuine hospitality—the team takes real time to help newcomers explore beans for home brewing and crafts solid specialty drinks in a welcoming space built for lingering. While consistency can be uneven across the staff, the owner's warmth and the quality of the beans themselves shine through, making it a solid neighborhood spot for both quick coffee runs and longer sit-downs with good pastries and light food.”

I came in this morning to pick out some beans for my French Press. I don't have a lot of experience with fresh coffee, but Due South had great reviews online, and Paul was more than happy to walk me through the process, and explained some of the blends to me, flavor profiles, etc. I ultimately went with their Waxwing and it was a great pick. The shop itself was very clean and had a great vibe. I'm extremely grateful for Paul's help, and am looking forward to coming back!
We like this place and want to see it thrive. The poor girl that opens for them on the weekends has not been trained very well to no fault of her own. I would expect someone you trust to open your business would be taught how to grind some beans. This completely falls on management.
Went by and had a good experience, whenever I try a specialty coffee shop I buy a drink and take their bean home. To start the drinks where good not great my cappuccino was more like a latte and the muffin I ordered was a bit dry. Now the bean is SPECTACULAR I got the Guji and me and my wife loved it would come back and buy more of their beans. As a roaster 10/10.
Due South Coffee Review Due South Coffee is a vibrant spot with a fantastic location, perfect for a quick stop while exploring the area. Nestled in a bustling area with plenty of parking and lots to do nearby, it’s a convenient choice for a coffee break. The atmosphere is lively, with lots of people with laptops, making it a great place to get some work done if you can snag a seat. If not, there are plenty of benches outside to enjoy your drink in the fresh air. I went with the barista’s recommendation and ordered the sparkling hibiscus tea, which was a total win—crisp, refreshing, and bursting with subtle floral and fruity notes that made it a perfect pick-me-up. Unfortunately, the muffin I ordered was a letdown; it was dense and served cold, so I wouldn’t get it again. The lack of seating around midday can be a challenge due to the crowd, so you might need to plan for takeout during peak hours. The service is quick and friendly, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. If you’re in the area, Due South is worth a visit for their stellar drinks like the hibiscus tea, just maybe skip the muffin!
I couldn't leave without writing a review. The coffee was amazing, but what truly stood out was the owner's kindness and service. I accidentally spilled my coffee, and they were so kind, reassuring me not to worry and even expressing concern for me. From the moment I walked into the coffee shop until I left, I felt truly taken care of. If I ever come back to South Carolina, I will definitely visit again!!!👍🏻
