Crema's Take

This welcoming Chapel Hill gathering spot seamlessly blends specialty coffee and drinks with an infectious community atmosphere centered around card games, board games, and genuine human connection. Preston and the team have created something rare: a spacious, inclusive haven where visitors feel immediately at home, whether you're stopping in for a carefully crafted drink, settling in for hours of gaming with friends, or discovering Magic: The Gathering for the first time. The free food offerings and thoughtful hospitality transform what could be a simple coffee shop into a true third place where strangers become friends over shared games and good conversation.

What to expect

Specialty coffee. A slow-sit spot, good for meetings. Light food on the menu. Family friendly.

Fantastic, great vibes, really really good beer selection surprisingly. Good place for commander on Saturday. Parking is lacking unfortunately but that's not their fault just plan to pay for parking if you're not lucky enough to snag a free spot

Such a cool spot! We were visiting from upstate NY and my son was delighted to spend an hour here. Welcoming & friendly.

This was the coolest and most welcoming card shop (and prob place in general) I have ever been to. Good beer, good company, good people, and even an excellent kitchen that offers free food to anyone. I wish nothing but the best for everyone here

Great bar with a very friendly atmosphere. Preston is a great host for the weekly card game tournaments and just great to hang around and chat with. Good variety of beers and other things on tap (Mead, sangria, etc). Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

They do extremely marked up prices on release date of products. Kinda annoying when most other local tcg stores sell close to MSRP for new MTG sets and when I got there they had it listed for more than double MSRP. Much higher then even tcg player average on release day. I get…
