Crema's Take

This welcoming Chapel Hill gathering spot seamlessly blends specialty coffee and drinks with an infectious community atmosphere centered around card games, board games, and genuine human connection. Preston and the team have created something rare: a spacious, inclusive haven where visitors feel immediately at home, whether you're stopping in for a carefully crafted drink, settling in for hours of gaming with friends, or discovering Magic: The Gathering for the first time. The free food offerings and thoughtful hospitality transform what could be a simple coffee shop into a true third place where strangers become friends over shared games and good conversation.

Such a cool spot! We were visiting from upstate NY and my son was delighted to spend an hour here. Welcoming & friendly.

This was the coolest and most welcoming card shop (and prob place in general) I have ever been to. Good beer, good company, good people, and even an excellent kitchen that offers free food to anyone. I wish nothing but the best for everyone here

Great bar with a very friendly atmosphere. Preston is a great host for the weekly card game tournaments and just great to hang around and chat with. Good variety of beers and other things on tap (Mead, sangria, etc). Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

Walked in here and it was 100% not what we expected. They were having a Magic The Garhering Tournament. It was pretty neat I guess, I don't play the game but did learn a thing or 3 about it. They sold cards, dice, figures and all kinds of RPG accessories, now what made it worth staying was their craft beer selection. Now if I could only find a bar similar to this but sold Hot Wheels....oh well...lol

Absolute good time, friendly staff and SO MANY GAMES to choose from. Large space upstairs with bar, booths and many tables to play games on. Games available for purchase along with pokemon cards + much more. Hope to visit another time in the future.
