Crema's Take
“This cozy neighborhood gathering spot transforms the humble breakfast into an art form, with creative toast creations like their showstopping Tres Leches French toast and shakshuka toast that have guests raving. The warm, bustling atmosphere on weekend mornings draws families and friends who linger over full breakfast spreads and excellent pastries, while attentive servers like Franklin elevate the whole experience with genuine knowledge and care. It's the kind of place where the menu itself becomes conversation—inventive enough to surprise, familiar enough to comfort, and executed with the kind of attention that keeps people coming back.”

OK, Tres Leeches French toast what a discovery! They are right by a busy parking lot and a lot of spaces around on the street to park. I visited them on Sunday afternoon and it was very busy. It took us almost 15-20 minutes to get a table, but I’m not complaining since I had good food afterwards. The issue was their waiting area is by the bathroom and the dishwasher so you constantly are in middle of the chaos and detergent smell. And with the weather being terrible outside and you stay indoors, otherwise during good summer days it should be all right to stand outside. Since we were part of the Yelp, I got my entrée which was chicken and veggie wrap and chocolate milk for my kid. However, we also ordered a desert and an entrée for my wife, which was beets open sandwich. The sandwich was all right, it was simple and fresh. Which is what it matters, right ? My chicken wrap on the other hand was a bit soggy, but the filling was really good. Overall, a good place if you are in a Skokie area and if you’re wanting some good breakfast.
I had an amazing breakfast experience at Alexzander Breakfast! Everything was outstanding, but the shakshuka toast truly stole the show so flavorful and absolutely mouthwatering. The classic French toast and tres leches french toast were the cherry on top, perfectly made and incredibly delicious. Every bite felt special. This place is truly a hidden gem in Skokie. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
What a wonderful experience! From the moment I sat down in this warm and cozy space, I knew I was in for a treat. I was already eating with my eyes just reading the descriptions on the menu, but when my dish arrived ⭐️IMPECCABLE⭐️! It looked just as amazing as the picture in my mind, and yes… it tasted every bit as good as it looked. A truly delightful dining experience!
First time at Alexander's and I LOVED IT. I will be coming back. For sweets we had the tres leches Toast and The Creme brulee Toast. For food my mother had the chile relleno she said it was really good. My dad and I shared the 3 brothers breakfast burrito it was practical to eat and it was good had a decent amount of avocado which I was so satisfied with. Service: Juan was my server and he made my experience very pleasant and helpful on food suggestions.
I don’t know who came up with the menu for this place but they need a gold medal or a statue. The food at this place is amazing. My server Franklin was also amazing. He was patient and well versed on the menu items to be able to help me decide what I wanted. Will definitely be back
