Crema's Take

Housed in a converted bank complete with a vintage vault door, Three Graces strikes that rare balance between seriously good espresso and genuinely welcoming vibes that make you want to linger. The staff moves with practiced efficiency while keeping things warm and unhurried, and the bright, naturally lit space with bench seating and window perches is ideal whether you're nursing a seasonal specialty drink or settling in with your laptop for the afternoon.

The last time I was here, I did not even notice the massive vault door that indicates this was once a bank. But the real treasure here is the friendly and efficient staff. This awesome coffee shop bridge is the Passyunk and fifth Avenue neighborhoods and is a great meeting spot as people can go in and out on either Street. The coffee is excellent, and staff took the time to make a decaf Americano for me. The croissants which I’ve had a number of times are just awesome.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Three Graces. The temperature outside was 36 degrees, yet both the front and back doors were kept wide open all day. Several customers, including myself, politely asked if they could close at least one of the doors because it was uncomfortably cold inside. They refused and told us they planned to keep them open the entire day for “fresh air.” While ventilation is understandable, there are reasonable ways to manage it — for example, briefly opening doors periodically rather than leaving both doors open for hours in near-freezing weather. The constant draft made the space uncomfortable and difficult to enjoy. Unfortunately, the unwillingness to accommodate multiple customers’ reasonable request left a very negative impression.

Stopped in during the middle of the afternoon and was impressed by how chill the atmosphere is. I only grabbed a coffee, but the space is incredibly conducive to sitting in quiet and getting some quick light work done on my laptop. Fast Wi-Fi and a clean bathroom. Definitely a solid spot in Philly for a productive break. Easy spot.

Bright coffee spot with two entrances. Bench seating along the wall and a few window stools. Nice assortment of pastries and really good coffee. I got an iced caramel latte and a blueberry muffin they were great, not too sweet. Would definitely come back.
