Crema's Take
“This Fort Lauderdale institution has been perfecting French pastries and breakfast for over three decades, earning a loyal following for their exceptionally balanced croissants and baked goods that avoid the pitfall of being cloyingly sweet. While prices lean premium at nearly $8 for a single shot latte, regulars swear by the quality of their made-to-order quiches and oversized savory pastries that easily become a two-sitting affair. The bakery strikes that rare balance of being both a quick neighborhood grab-and-go spot and a destination worthy of 30-year devotion, complete with charming touches like complimentary sugar sticks for your coffee.”

The food is good but the prices are really high. $7.95 for a single (not a double) latte! I spent $25.00 for a quiche and a latte. Regarding the food, which is really good, I thought they heated up their food in an oven but they use a microwave first to speed up the process. Giving 3 stars because it’s definitely a cute place and the food is tasty.
This was our go-to breakfast take-out place which was very close to our AirBnb during our 3 day weekend trip. Everything was excellent. Pastries were extremely good and not overly sweet, we loved the quiche and my wife loved the coffee. I knew when I walked in the first time and saw the long line that it must be good (the line moves quickly). I struggled a bit with what to order, but the employees behind the counter were top notch and had me set up with the perfect box of breakfast items very quickly.
Quite simply the best French bakery and market in all of South Florida. I've been going to Croissant Time for over 30 years now, and the consistency is incredible not only within their baked goods and deserts, but with service and ambiance as well. The market aspect of it is small, but has amazing French offerings, and some from other European countries. Also, the best baguette I have ever tasted in my life outside of France. All their bread is amazing. I know I'm gushing over this place in my review here, but it's beyond deserved. Their chocolate mousse cake may be one of the best cakes of all time.
A bit of style over substance; the food looked better than it tasted. The key lime tart was OK, but what shocked us were the almond croissants. They were oddly damp all the way through, as if they had been frozen and microwaved, or stored in plastic while they were still hot and steaming. No flaky, crisp, layers to be found. Given the name of the bakery, we thought the croissants would be at least average, or at least better than what we could purchase from a grocery store. Very disappointing.
Yummy croissant with spinach and mushrooms topped with Swiss cheese. So large I couldn't finish it in one sitting. Great looking and tasting pastries. They give you a sugar stick for your coffee. The have a deli department and a great selection of French foods, jams, and treats. I can definitely recommend. I will be back! Staff not so great but, The food was!
