Ovation Coffee & Tea

Crema's Take
“Ovation opens early and welcomes you into a genuinely warm space where baristas know their craft—their Moroccan latte and pistachio latte are standouts that keep people coming back. Beyond the stellar espresso drinks, they're doing creative things with specialty beverages like matcha tea and nitrous-infused options that feel decidedly different from the usual coffee shop menu. It's the kind of place where you can linger over excellent drinks and inventive pastries (when they're baked just right) without feeling rushed, whether you're settling in at a cozy indoor table or soaking up Portland weather outside.”

The servers were really lovely! The atmosphere was clean and welcoming with indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately, both of our baked goods were under baked. My Moroccan latte was the best latte I’ve ever had
I've tried their latte a bunch of times here, and it's always been good. The atmosphere's kinda noisy, but the service has been great, fast and efficient. No complaints, really.
Ovation Coffee & Tea 3730 S Bond Ave, Portland, OR 97239 Moroccan Biscuit $5 Lamb gyro, egg patty, roasted tomato, goat cheese This biscuit does not ease you in. It kicks the door open and says hello. The goat cheese and the house dried tomatoes came in hot and bold and honestly smacked me right in the taste buds in the best way. That said, I would have loved the tomatoes peeled. Once dried, the skins turned into tiny leather jackets that were tough and not very chew friendly. The tomatoes were sliced thick, marinated beautifully, and soaked in seasoning and olive oil, delivering a deep savory punch. The lamb gyro was shaved directly onto the biscuit and was incredibly tender, rich without being heavy. The goat cheese brought a lovely tang that balanced everything out perfectly. The egg was cooked exactly how I like it, soft and comforting like it knew me personally. And then there is the biscuit. Clearly made in house and proud of it. You cannot fake that flavor. I could taste the baking soda, salt, and shortening in the best old school way. Perfectly seasoned, not shy with the salt, and absolutely not from any production line. I loved it. Lemon Blueberry Scone $5.50 The outside had a light crisp shell with a gentle crunch, while the inside was soft and tender like a muffin that went to pastry school. Flavor wise, I picked up more vanilla than lemon. A little lemon zest or fresh lemon juice would really help this scone live its full lemon fantasy instead of just thinking about it. The blueberry flavor showed up in select bites when a berry made an appearance. When it did, it was lovely. The overall mouth feel leaned more biscuit than scone, which is not a bad thing, just unexpected. I will absolutely try another scone on my next visit, just in a different flavor to see what else they have up their sleeve. Lastly, a shout out to the lovely ladies working the counter. I did not catch their names, but they were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The kind of service that makes your biscuit taste a little better and your morning starts off right. Overall, Ovation delivers bold flavors, thoughtful execution, baked goods with personality, and service that makes you want to come back. Even the biscuit had opinions, and so did the staff, in all the right ways
It is a nice coffee place to grab custom drinks and snacks. I usually get their coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed their Pistachio Latte recently!
This place I can genuinely say is different. In a good way. It’s a coffee, tea place similar to Starbucks but WAY different. The menu and the drinks are very unique and feature things like nitrous infused lemonade and coffee beverages. Various latte types I’ve never heard of and just an overall menu that is unique and different as well as interesting. The staff is quite helpful as well. Whip cream anyone? I was surprised they had multiple flavors of whip cream to choose from. If you like coffee, tea, blended beverages and that sort of thing this place is definitely worth checking out.
