Wildflyer Coffee - Saint Paul
1362 7th St W, Saint Paul, MN
Crema's Take
“Wildflyer Coffee is a genuinely warm gathering spot in Saint Paul where the espresso-focused drinks are consistently excellent and the calm, welcoming atmosphere keeps people coming back to work, meet, or linger over a bagel. While the wifi can be temperamental, what really sets this place apart is the palpable sense of mission and community—regulars rave about the generous pour of cream cheese on their bagels and the staff's willingness to customize drinks (like pulling shots extra hot), making you feel genuinely cared for. It's the kind of specialty coffee shop that succeeds because it's more than just good coffee; it's a space where you actually want to spend your time.”

Nice location and decent coffee. I like the vibe. However, I've always had issues connecting to the wifi here. Either the network isn't available or it keeps telling me the password is incorrect... and I've typed it in slowly, following the postings they have around the shop, multiple times. It would be nice if they could address this. Coffee shops with wifi issues just kinda defeat the purpose.
Ok I pride myself on being honest and helpful in reviews as we all rely on this data to make our decisions on where to go, hang out, eat…so I will be honest. Although I totally support the mission, Wildflyer doesn’t qualify as a craft coffee shop IMO. The vibe, people, and menu certainly do. But execution is poor. I ordered a cap. This is the perfect opportunity for a top level place to steam and integrate the milk to the right temp and deliver with art and a smile. I got a luke warm cup of 50/50 foam and “ok” dark roast espresso. The sandwich I ordered was $8.50. Nothing to put on the thing. Served in a box with no mayo, etc. very dry and well…like a grocery store sandwich. If you don’t mind lowering the bar for the sake of a good cause, this is the place for you. But if you want a real craft coffee shop, not so much.
Wildflyer Coffee in St. Paul is truly something special. It’s so much more than a great cup of coffee (though they absolutely deliver on that, too). Their drinks are consistently delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is kind, attentive, and genuine. But what really sets Wildflyer apart is their heart. They run a 4-month job training program for youth experiencing homelessness, helping young people build skills, stability, and confidence for their futures. It’s inspiring to see a local business not only talk about making a difference but actually do it every day. Their mission to end youth homelessness isn’t just a slogan, it’s baked into everything they do from the way they treat their employees to how they engage with the community. Wildflyer has become a bright spot in the neighborhood, creating both opportunity and connection. You can feel the positive energy the moment you walk in. Supporting them feels good because you know every latte and pastry helps fuel real change. This is exactly the kind of place every city needs: one that serves both great coffee and a greater purpose.
Honestly, I enjoy studying at wildfler coffee shop, their coffee and Bagels are good. Wildflyer coffee shop always put a generous ammount of cream cheese on their bagels and wildflyer coffee shops mocha coffee's always have a cool little design on top. The staff at wildflyer coffee shop are nice and wildflyer coffee shop is also a non profit with a goal of helping homeless youth. Not only is wildflyer coffee shop a good coffee shop but the proceeds from what you spend with wildflyer coffee shop goes to helping homeless Youth. ❤️ If you want good coffee, good Bagels, in a decent enviornment and have your money go to a good cause too, spending your money with wildflyer coffee shop is a good choice. You get good coffee, a relaxing enviornment, friendly staff and you get to help the youth all at the same time. I highly reccomend wildflyer coffee shop! ❤️😁
I love Wildflyer! The coffee is great (especially since learning I can order it “extra hot”), the vibes are calm and welcoming, and their mission is admirable and inspiring. I highly recommend. :) Ps. When is the book club coming back, haha?!
