Parakeet Cafe - Little Italy

We love coming to this place. We come to San Diego periodically but my teenage daughter insists on having breakfast at Parakeet. The food is consistently excellent. She loves the truffle scramble. Albert the manager always checks in on us and makes us feel welcome (even if we spend a little extra time working on our laptops). The staff is VERY attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is perfect for our family. Very clean. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Absolutely loved this coffee shop. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the location is simply amazing. The whole vibe and entourage feel perfectly curated — comfortable, stylish, and relaxing. My hot chai tea was absolutely perfect. Truly a 5-star experience.

It was unbelievably delicious — nothing like a typical breakfast. Every dish felt unique: vibrant flavors, perfect textures, and unexpected combinations. Even the bread tasted special. Absolutely loved it. If you want a breakfast that actually surprises you — this is the place 💚✨

This place deserves 5 stars! Went here on a Saturday morning and even with the Farmer’s Market going on we were able to order and sit quickly. The inside had immaculate vibes with the cutest decor! I can never find Shakshuka anywhere and was so excited to find it on the menu here—it did not disappoint. I also ordered a mocha latte with almond milk, which they make in house!! My partner had the chilaquiles which was also tasty. It was my favorite spot we went to all weekend! Highly recommend to anyone coming through the area.

My friends and I found this place after dealing with another establishment that was rude to us and what a blessing in disguise that turned out to be! Parakeet Café completely turned our day around. Even on a busy Sunday, they had room for us right away. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The café was spotless, the atmosphere was gorgeous, and it felt like the perfect spot to relax and enjoy our time together. l ordered a mocha latte, which was absolutely delicious, and the food was fresh and full of flavor. We left happy, full, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend!
