Kabin
300 Spring St, New York, NY
Crema's Take
“Tucked away like a Nordic ski lodge in the heart of New York, Kabin transforms seamlessly from a craft cocktail destination by night into a serious specialty coffee haven by day, where knowledgeable baristas treat each pour-over and espresso-based drink with genuine care and precision. The cozy, intentional atmosphere makes it equally suited for a focused work session or lingering conversation with friends, and the recently expanded cafe side proves they're not just riding on their bar's reputation—their coffee game is genuinely exceptional. This is a place where the details matter, from the quality of the beans to the attentiveness of every staff member, making it one of those rare NYC spots that actually deserves the hype.”

I went for coffee. This place is a sleeper. Kabin should rank with the top high quality specialty coffee spots in New York, with high level, knowledgeable baristas who pay attention to details and care for their craft; amazing hand brews; good pastries, and an elegant ambience. They carry some of the best light roasted, Scandinavian coffee brands, and make the best chai I've had in NYC. Those in the know know Kabin.
Loveee this bar. It feels like you’re in a nordic ski lodge in the best, coziest way. The vibe is good for both date night and a group hang. All of the staff, from the hosts to servers to bartenders were extremely kind and friendly. The drinks were great and the hot dog i had was delishhh. Will definitely be back soon!
Always been a great spot for drinks, but very happy to see how well they’ve recently expanded into a cafe during the daytime! And unlike the thousands of NYC cafes serving mediocre coffee and the same stale pastries for $$$, they instead offer two things you really can’t get anywhere else; Tim Wendelboe coffee and fresh Norwegian Waffles with the traditional toppings! Additionally their matcha offerings are very solid as well actually! Pretty quiet vibe there during the daytime too, so perfect for some casual meetings or a quick work session as well! La Cabra and Kabin will be my go-to cafe spots in lower manhattan now!
Stopped into Kabin during the day and was really impressed. Had a La Cabra oat milk cortado that was perfectly balanced, as well as an exceptional pour-over that showed real care in brewing. It’s could quockly become my new favorite specialty coffee spot in the city, whether it’s for the coffee itself or just the vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality and craft in their cup.
Came here last night to celebrate 2 birthdays and this was honestly the best choice we’ve ever made on a reservation. Chris really went above and beyond with his service and his passion behind the drinks was so special. The whole table loved learning about the time that goes behind crafting a cocktail and we didn’t even want to order our own drinks, we just trusted Chris and his recommendations. I can’t recommend coming here enough this really was an amazing experience. The mango lassi shot was honestly life changing and the celery margarita was crazy. If you ever are here and Chris happens to help you, literally let him do all the choosing and really get to know what you’re about to drink, this was better service than I get at most Michelin stars in the city.
