That place is really unique! If you're looking for a great experience, you should definitely visit this coffee shop! They also offer merch like clothing and mugs 🌺
We visited Lava Java yesterday. When you walk in the atmosphere is very welcoming, fun and friendly. The barista was attentive and helpful. The coffee and chai were the best we’ve had in Maui so far. They have artwork for sale by a local artist (which we were excited to find), and a seating area where you can sit and enjoy a drink before heading out and exploring more. Overall excellent service and experience.
Christmas day and long line but super quick and we ordered Coconut Americano with cream and Coconut Macnut latter both iced super good! The ratio is perfect in both! Will come back during our stays in Maui.
My husband and I have been to Maui a couple times now and have gotten many beverages from Lava Java. We especially like the Ube coffee and the frozen mocha. The staff has always been kind and it’s a cute little shop with different areas to sit. I’d recommend it if you are in Maui!
This is exactly the kind of coffee shop I hoped to find while visiting the island. You'll absolutely love the vibe, the crew, and of course the coffee. The owner will walk you through the coffee they have roasted and give you the back story on anything you're interested in, making every sip that much more enjoyable. I stepped away from my traditional black Americano to try one of their local favorites and got a banana mocha. It was delicious and hit the spot. Their inside has games, books, and even guitars in front of a giant world map you can see where people have visited from all over the world. I couldn't resist adding a pin to make sure that Tacoma has a showing. I chilled inside while I worked on some deliverables for my next employee engagement workshop that I'll be delivering when I get home. But once the work was done I was excited to move out to the deck where I watched the waves at the beach across the street. Give this local small business lots of attention while you are here. I'll be sure it's a regular part of all of my visits.
