Crema's Take

Golden Bean Cafe is a relaxed neighborhood spot in Carmichael where you can settle in for a leisurely afternoon with a well-crafted coffee or specialty matcha tea. The vibe is welcoming and unhurried—perfect for meeting friends or catching up on work—and the friendly owners seem genuinely invested in creating a comfortable gathering space, though experiences with food quality and service can be inconsistent.

This is your typical office cafe. Nothing special. Coffee was okay. Grilled cheese was very sad and cost $6. They used aamerican cheese as a substitute for cheddar. Do better next time.

15 minute line to buy ready items. Customers trying to buy ready items are completely ignored, because they're behind orders. Cafe adds a "card use" surcharge. I do not recommend. Lack of variety food 3/5.

Not sure where all the elevated ratings came from but this is just an OK little hole in the wall place. The lox bagel sandwich was indeed quite good. The latte was mediocre at best. The atmosphere, what there is of it, is late industrial, though the outside seating is very nice. This is a perfectly decent corporate coffee kiosk but not much more than that. Service is indifferent. Please note that you have to go behind the building to find this place. Going all the way though the elevator lobby at the Aspire building is the easiest way to get there.

Friendly owners! Tuna melt and boba tea were both delicious! Can’t believe I never realized that cafe was so close to me! Highly recommend!
