Excellent spot for coffee and morning treats. My son got a hot chocolate and I to got a chai latte. We enjoyed it outside on the patio. Great service and food
The Red Kettle is a cute little spot in Summerland where you can sip a latte on the dog-friendly back patio and pretend your life is more Instagram-worthy than it really is. Service is friendly, coffee is good, and they offer enough alternative milk options to make a dairy cow feel obsolete. The only catch? Waiting for your drink is like playing an awkward game of human Tetris—there’s absolutely nowhere to stand without being in the way. It’s a fun blend of caffeine anticipation and mild social anxiety. On the plus side, they sell charming little cards and trinkets, so you can browse overpriced stationery while blocking the exit. Multitasking at its finest.
The gnome must have filled the Red Kettle with magical beans. The first sip of my latte all the way through to the last one made me feel happy and at peace with our chaotic world. The barista was friendly and there is plenty of outdoor seating, not so much indoors. The next time you’re passing through Summerland you’ll do yourself a favor by stopping in for an excellent coffee.
What a perfect place to stop for a great coffee and snack while you’re heading up the 101. We now have a great excuse to stop in Summerland. I usually just fly by on my way to Santa Barbara but Red Kettle has superb coffees, snacks, and great gifts. We loved their coffee, smoothies, and empanadas. We look forward to our next visit.
