Gravves Coffee
2106 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX
Crema's Take
“Gravves is a darkly atmospheric San Antonio sanctuary where creative, boundary-pushing drinks like the Xeno Latte (featuring sesame and charcoal) and the Elixir take center stage alongside quality matcha. The minimal, moody aesthetic pairs perfectly with their willingness to stock lactose-free milk and craft genuinely complex flavor profiles that linger on the palate, making it ideal for slow sits and contemplative coffee moments. It's the kind of place that rewards curiosity—regulars return specifically to explore more of their distinctive menu.”

Got the xeno latte and it’s so complex and delicious. The sesame is strong but not overwhelming and the charcoal gives the latte such a cool aesthetic. They have lactose free milk which is so rare to find!! Parking is easy and located around the building. The shop is large and has plenty of space. They are pet friendly and I was able to take my cat inside which was def a plus!!
A perfect spot for the coven to gather and bewitch themselves with caffeinated Libations. The atmosphere is minimal, dark, and cozy. Really enjoyed the unique drink selections. We tried the Elixir, the Xeno, and a Lavender Vanilla Matcha latte. Vegan Baked Goods we tried were the Berry Pop Tart and Banana Donut. Everything left my soul and my tummy happy.
Absolutely love this cafe, very dark and chill vibes. Staff were pretty cool and friendly. I almost always get a matcha from here when I’m in the area. They also offer some pastries that are really good too!
I tried Gravves Coffee a couple of weeks ago, off a recommendation and I really liked it. I ordered the Xeno Latte and it was really good. The flavor was good but also unique. It went down velvety smooth. The atmosphere is nice and is own unique vibe. A few people were in there on their laptops and hanging out. They had music playing but it's overall pretty quiet in there. Service was good.
Edit: returned not a week or two later because I did want to try more of the menu. Unfortunately service was still awful. The barista gave the person I was with the full up and down and not one thank you. It's frustrating to spend about $20 just for coffee between two ppl and get crappy service because they'd rather chat with their friends at the bar. Maybe we have to dress goth to get better service? Either way they are both very pretentious and don't make you feel good about ordering. Find a friendlier place to support and spend your money. The drinks are excellent! Amazing flavor and a great menu that showcases the unique flavors. You need to try all the drinks! Parking is good and the vibes are very relaxed, all the floor seating was full but there is a nice size bar to sit at too. Unfortunately we got there half an hour before closing so the service was a little rushed. Forest dweller latte (2) and apple of Eden. Both amazing!
