Crema's Take
“This downtown Houston breakfast spot delivers comfort with real personality, especially when the team (shoutout to Janay and Lyndis) is firing on all cylinders—their made-to-order omelet bar and flavorful dishes like harissa eggs with avocado toast punch well above typical hotel dining. While quality can be inconsistent depending on timing and crowd, the best experiences here feature generous portions, attentive service, and that sweet spot of being both a reliable meeting place and a breakfast destination worth seeking out.”

Im disappointed at the total breakfast experience. Considering we are at the Marriott Marquis I was expecting top notch breakfast. The service was fine no problem. The food was not it for the price. DO NOT ORDER THE CHILAQUILES! They are literally chips and salsa with eggs. Not traditional or authentic Mexican. The 3 egg omelette was mid. Kids under 5 eat at the buffet free but it looked like any other hotel breakfast. NOT WORTH THE PRICE…
Walker Street Kitchen turned out to be a good spot for breakfast in downtown Houston. The buffet was excellent and a solid value for the price. The made-to-order omelet bar was definitely the highlight, fresh and cooked just the way I wanted it, ham, mushrooms and cheese. Our server, Thomas, couldn’t have been better. He was attentive, kind, and right there when we needed him. All around, a really enjoyable visit.
Amazing food, great customer service, Janay, Lyndis, AND the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best breakfast experience. The food was phenomenal! Definitely recommend!! Would add more stars if I could!
I went for the Saturday brunch. It’s absolutely not worth the money. I was lured in thinking I was going to enjoy chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. The chicken was chicken tenders that were cold from just sitting there and the waffles were frozen. No one was at the omelet station and the brisket was fatty, greasy and sopped in bbq sauce. I didn’t bother with the other items but they are available. The service was decent. My waiter appeared attentive although I could not find her for ten minutes when I was ready to pay the bill. Maybe dinner is better but I would not do the brunch. It honestly should be free as part of your stay at the property.
We had a super tasty breakfast here while staying at the hotel. I had the harissa eggs and avocado toast. We split both dishes. There were so tasty and full of flavor! Both were large dishes and great for sharing. So much flavor and well prepared. Perfectly poached eggs. Service was friendly and we were able to use our credit.
