Crema's Take
“Atelier Manna is a design-forward sanctuary in Encinitas where exceptional breakfast and specialty coffee drinks feel like deliberate acts of craft—from handcrafted plates to thoughtfully sourced California ingredients that elevate familiar dishes like Turkish eggs and French toast into something memorably distinctive. The calm, intentional atmosphere invites lingering conversations over tonics and grain bowls, making it equally suited for solo coffee exploration or unhurried time with someone special. While service occasionally misses the mark on personalization, the Michelin-recognized kitchen and commitment to doing one thing beautifully keeps guests coming back.”

First time visiting. This is a must visit for all food lovers who also appreciates quality Californian ingredients. I had all tonics on the menu, the Turkish eggs & the Spanish French toast. Absolutely yummy! I was super nervous to try the French toast so a super sweet couple sitting next to me shared some their French toast with me & I’m so glad they did. I’ll be coming back for sure for the French toast! I absolutely loved the ambience and customer service. I felt at home and I can’t say that for half of the restaurants in San Diego. Definitely a must visit! I highly recommend! I will definitely return!! Reservation is better but not required Accepts Applepay Free street parking Most seating are outside so bring a jacket
Wow. The best breakfast I have ever had. Highly recommend the Turkish egg dish and adding steak. Yum! The grain/porridge bowl was also delicious and very unique. Hearty. The french toast was fabulous but also really rich and definitely heavy on the cheesecake aspect. The tonic drinks are outstanding and I also loved the orange wine. Atmosphere felt like I was on a beach vacation!
Food was excellent (10/10). Service could be more attentive. We were there for our anniversary and had shared this while booking, but it wasn’t acknowledged, even though nearby birthday tables were. We got the Duck Confit, Turkish eggs and pistachio bread pudding. Duck confit and cilbir (turkish eggs) were really really good. The bread pudding had a great texture but sour taste and had chopped kiwis in it that didn’t go with the entire dish. Their NA drink with turmeric in it was okay. I might try the other ones next time.
Atelier Manna in Leucadia feels like a modern day atelier in the truest sense, calm, design forward, and incredibly intentional about every choice, from the handcrafted plates to the way the menu is built around nourishment and “healing” ingredients. We ordered the Turkish eggs, the Manna bowl with smoked salmon, and a side of hanger steak. The Turkish eggs were the star, silky poached eggs over cool herbed yogurt with that chili garlic butter that makes you want extra toast. The Manna bowl was clean and balanced, and the smoked salmon add on made it feel like a full meal without getting heavy. The hanger steak side was a smart add, simple, well cooked, and genuinely high quality. Dessert was strong. The pistachio bread pudding is rich and cozy, and I loved the little pops of fruit like the kiwi that keep it feeling bright, not just sweet on sweet. The Greek yogurt panna cotta is the perfect contrast, light, tangy, and refreshing. We also got to meet Laura and the chef, and the thoughtfulness really shows in how the menu is put together and how seriously they take sourcing, especially the fresh vegetables coming from Sage Hill Farm. I emailed them to make a reservation, but it took a while to get a confirmation back. It wasn’t until I got there that I noticed a Michelin recommendation plaque on their wall outside. The menu is not too extensive, so they do run out of items sometimes. At the time of my visit, they ran out of French toast! Maybe it’s a popular item, so I guess you should try it if you can. I loved the panna cotta with seasonal fruits. The side of hangar steak is also pretty good but $16. Actually everything we ordered was pretty good but pricey. They’re known for their vitality tonics, which I thought were ok. It’s not my thing, so I wouldn’t order those again. The bread pudding was so good! Their dining area is quite small and all outdoors. Parking: free street parking or free parking in the dirt lot across the street. Be careful crossing the street because there is no crosswalk and you have to watch cars coming from both sides. No wifi Apple Pay/Credit cards accepted. Bathroom available - only one room by the kitchen Outdoor seating only
