Crema's Take

This cozy Colombian spot in Elizabeth wins hearts with their standout empanadas and traditional pastries, though quality can be inconsistent depending on who's behind the counter. The tight, no-frills space fills up with families and Spanish speakers who come for authentic flavors and genuinely warm service from the staff, making it feel like a neighborhood gathering place despite the mixed reviews on their hot entrées. If you know what to order (stick with the fried specialties and skip the cooked proteins), you'll find honest, homemade food that doesn't break the bank.

Like you see in this picture. I bought five or six of them and the sausage and a stuffed potato with meat around $30 . Too expensive if you don't speak Spanish they're really nasty. Two days later I go back with a friend of mine white girl make the same order . She heard the lady say oh I overcharged that guy I'm going to do it again. She told me let's go I'll tell you later she was afraid that I might have breaking every bone in their body. See that's all white girl thinking she did not know how to speak Spanish but she teaches Spanish in the college. I will never go there and dog food taste better than their food

I usually don't leave reviews but the empanadas I purchased from here had to be the worst I've ever eaten. They were overcooked, barely any meat, and mostly filled with potatoes, tiny and over priced. I also purchased 2 natural drinks and they were sooo bad! They tasted spoiled and super sour. It was a 2 go order and my mother mentioned the lady being rude.

Might be the worst food I’ve had in years. Chicken taste like it was injected and soaked in vinegar for 7 years. Steak was even worst. Like a wet rag dipped in salt. Just gross.
