I was driving by today and decided I wanted a coffee. I pulled up and service was great, but I ordered a hazelnut cappuccino figuring it would be good like the mocha I got on my first visit. It was not. It tasted like I was drinking charcoal mixed with hazelnut. It's really unfortunate as I want to like this place, but it is unlikely that id return.
I used the drive-thru and the enthusiasm of the order takers was contagious. The drive-thru menu is organized and easy to read. The cappuccino, coffee cake, and the breakfast wrap I ordered were all tasty, but I would recommend getting salsa with the wrap.
Cabin Coffee in Papillion, NE is hands-down the best drive-thru coffee stop in the area! I pulled up on a cold morning, ordered the Tumbleweed and a strawberry shortcake drink, and both were ready in no time with the friendliest service! Even through the drive-thru, the quality is top-notch—perfectly made, great temperature, and you can taste the care in every sip. Fast, consistent, and always delicious. Cabin Coffee has ruined all other coffee places for me. If you’re driving through Papillion, this is a must-stop. Already craving my next Tumbleweed! Five stars, no question!
I really wanted to like Cabin Coffee Company, but my visit left a lot to be desired. I ordered a peach smoothie and it was extremely watered down…definitely not worth the price. The bacon chicken ranch wrap was hot (which I wasn’t expecting), bland, and had no ranch at all. It just tasted unseasoned and underwhelming. The girl at the drive-thru speaker was nice, but when I got to the window, the employee started out friendly until I selected “no tip”, her attitude completely shifted, which made the interaction uncomfortable. The plastic cups are very flimsy so the lid kept popping off and got sticky stuff all over my cup holders. Between the high prices, strange hours, inconsistent service, and disappointing food and drinks, I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.
I would say the staff definitely get 5 stars from me. The young man helped me navigate the menu that had some new to me items like white shots. He explained them as having a buttery flavor and recommended that I have them in a flavored latte. My kids got some scones and a smoothie. All around it was a good experience.
