Crema's Take

This charming tea house on Ames' main strip is a sanctuary for loose leaf enthusiasts, with staff who genuinely know their craft and can guide you toward your perfect cup—whether that's a flawlessly executed matcha or a discovery from their thoughtful selection. Beyond the exceptional beverages and fresh-baked scones, it's the unhurried atmosphere and artistic touches that make it feel like a destination rather than a pit stop, complete with occasional live music and a community of regulars who keep coming back. The care that goes into every detail, from the consistent quality of each drink to the curated product displays, creates the kind of gathering space where you'll want to linger with friends or settle in with a book.

Wonderful tea shop among all the other great local stores on the main strip. They have a wonderful selection of loose leaf teas and accessories as well as drinks made on the spot. Very friendly staff as well!

Best shop in Ames! My wife and I go there all the time. The staff are super friendly and have great recommendations for tea. They have all sorts of tea and the scones are pretty great too.

Love this place! It’s my go-to spot with an amazing atmosphere. The drinks are always consistent and delicious. I usually get the matcha, and it’s perfect every time—unlike other coffee shops where it can be clumpy. I’ve never had that issue here! Highly recommend—worth every penny!

Wonderful tea house in Ames! Wide selection of teas and supplies, and decent seating areas to relax while you're there. They even had someone singing and playing live, mellow holiday tunes while I was there. A nice touch!

What a fun and cute little shop! We loved the art installations, the product displays, and the overall aesthetic. The staff were fun to talk to and answered our questions politely (bless them lol), and we ended up leaving with several very wonderful teas to bring back.
