Sarmentine - Organic French Bakery

Okay, we walked in excited that it's a authentic French place. Pastries look amazing and I ordered a bunch. I got a savory one for having it here but the lady was so rude to me when I had a simple question of "this pastry is cold on the inside and not toasted properly" A real turn off! You can have the best pastries in the world but when there is no warmth, food turns into poison.

Great selection of pastries and bakeries. I like almond croissant and always order it at every bakery place I go visit. I really liked almond croissant here. My friend ordered ham and cheese croissant and she liked it, too. I will give them a visit again next time I’m in Petaluma.

Easily the closest example of a french bakery/Patisserie since I moved to the US from Burgundy in 2015. I had the pleasure of France’s best baker/pastry chef being my local, in Dijon. These pastries at Sarmentine are very close. The almond-pear tartelette is my current go-to, and the macarons are sublime!

Worth going for coffee (get a large) if you’re in Petaluma for the morning. Very tasty French style pastries & breads. We actually walked there from our hotel downtown (~25 minutes one way) and so had some food as well. We’ll go there again someday

The look and feel of the good match the taste, simple amazing. The young lady was not exactly knowledgeable on the breads or ingredients. But overall an amazing experience
