Crema's Take

Diamonds Coffee Shoppe is a sprawling Northeast Minneapolis gem with a wonderfully retro, artsy vibe that feels refreshingly gritty compared to the minimalist coffee shops popping up everywhere. The cleverly divided space creates cozy nooks and semi-private alcoves perfect for lingering with your laptop or catching up with friends, while their solid traditional espresso drinks and standout banana bread pair nicely with a genuinely family-friendly atmosphere that even includes a toy machine for the kids.

What to expect

Classic coffee drinks done right. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly spot, good for meetings. Pastries and light food on the menu. Family friendly.

This place is pretty cool, good coffee and tea. Fantastic banana 🍌 bread. Has a diner-esk feel up front, and white washed brick walled little rooms which give a different visual and auditory vibe. It's very different from your normal coffee shop layout, but that's not a bad…
