Crema's Take
“Purple Finch Cafe in Bedford is a cozy neighborhood gathering spot that does traditional breakfast right, with standout dishes like their Irish Omelet with homemade corned beef hash and ambitious Pancake Flights that'll have you taking leftovers home. The counter seating and friendly staff create that warm, local-cafe vibe that keeps regulars coming back, though recent reviews suggest the kitchen has had some inconsistent moments with temperature and execution that may be worth keeping an eye on.”

I do not know what happened today. I previously rated this place 5 stars. New ownership since last here. Freshly squeezed orange juice was sour, all 3 meals were cold, toast not really toasted, etc. Asked for fresh sour dough toast and round 2 came out colder than the previous. Plate was hot. Must have given me somebody else's that was left sitting. Even the sweet potato dots were different. Were they coated in sugar? Not happy. Spent $52 and left hungry.
A friend recommended this Cafe for breakfast and what a surprise to find delicious food. Irish Omelet had homemade corn beef hash and the Pancake Flight had so much food, we took home extra pancakes. Atmosphere was terrific and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend!
I finally had a chance to visit! I sat at the counter and was offered a coffee ☕ right away. There was medium and dark roast available. I had the Grill Billy Benedict with hash browns, a side of sourdough toast and a small cranberry juice 🥤. I asked for a refill on my coffee. I was so full after eating all of my breakfast that I skipped lunch. Service was very good! WiFi available. Online ordering and rewards program available. Price to portion for my Benedict, not Cumberbatch, was good. I have been to restaurants where the toast is included in the meal. Inflation is what it is and I read on their website there food is organic and fair trade. Sunday morning 🌅 was very busy. There was a small line to get in. I am going to recommend a visit. For a weekend breakfast 🍳🥞, go early!
A very cozy restaurant, with traditional breakfast foods. I had eggs benedict and it was good. Unfortunately, the breakfast did come out cold so it wasn't as good as it could have been. The endless cup of coffee was a real bonus.
A lovely local place with character, friendly staff, and fast service. I visited for breakfast on a Thursday in late October while I was between errands in the area. It was decorated for Halloween which was fun. Breakfast for one with a latte was $20 before tip. They had almond milk and oatmilk options for the latte and gluten free toast options as well. Overall very good and would visit again. Thanks!
