Crema's Take

Rosebud Coffee in Pasadena has cultivated a rare blend of serious espresso craft and genuine hospitality—their signature drinks like the Rosebud Chai and Golden Latte earn genuine devotion, while their thoughtfully designed space (complete with an outdoor patio and abundance of plants) welcomes you whether you're stopping by for a quick cold brew or settling in for hours of work. The fact that this place transforms into a brewery after hours, pairs excellent coffee with restaurant-quality food like breakfast burritos and salsa-forward melts, and manages both strong wifi and genuinely good parking makes it less of a coffee shop and more of a neighborhood destination worth planning your day around.

Been here twice in a row now. Once during a quick stop. Breakfast burrito and cold brew were delicious. And a second day to work remotely for a few hours. The wifi was great and tried their cinnamon roll. It was fantastic! Staff was very kind. Overall great little gem in Pasadena.

Fantastic place - would consider moving to Pasadena for this.. nice vibe fantastic coffee and great food. Good place to work also. The salsa I had with my melt was like eating in a spicy summer garden - delicious. Will definitely be back.

I love this place, tried their Rosebud Chai which is their rendition of a dirty chai. It normally comes with a single shot of espresso, but I got a double. They have great parking, great service, just note there isn't wifi on weekends, and they have an amazing social impact mission that makes this place an ideal location to post up!

The Golden Latte was to die for and the strawberry desert cake thing my son got was tip tier as-well. I love local coffee shops and this one doubles as a brewery after the coffee shop closes. I also love that they hire and train the youth for jobs. Just a real stand up place that hits all marks. Whenever I come to town to see the dodgers play I will drink coffee here and nowhere else. Epic drinks and eats.

Rosebud Coffee has a lot going for it. The decor is fantastic, with plenty of plants and cool merchandise. There are lots of tables to sit at, both inside and on the outside patio. A neat feature is the separate brewery inside, complete with an alcoholic bar. Plus, there's a huge parking lot behind the shop, which is super convenient. Most importantly, my latte with oat milk was delicious. However, there are a few things I disliked. Although they have WiFi, they turn it off on weekends to encourage conversation between guests. While I enjoyed my visit without my laptop, I would have liked the option to bring it on a weekend if I wanted to step out of the house. They also place little boards on specific tables indicating that they are laptop-free zones, which feels a bit intrusive. The staff at the counter was friendly and great, but the rest of the staff didn't seem to be taking their shifts seriously. You have to stand very close to the order area to hear your name called because most of the staff just call names casually, except for one gentleman who actually yelled out names. The rest were chatting amongst themselves, with nothing to do, which was a bit odd. I want to like this place and maybe it was just an off day. I'll try coming back on a weekday and hope to update my review with more stars because I'm new to the area and looking for a regular coffee spot.
