HITIDES Coffee
519 E 18th St, Kansas City, MO
Crema's Take
“HITIDES is a sprawling, one-of-a-kind Kansas City destination that captures the laid-back warmth of a Thai retreat with multiple cozy seating nooks perfect for lingering over coffee or tea. While their espresso can be inconsistent, the shop truly shines with creative specialty drinks like their Hawaiian macchiato and signature coconut-cinnamon lattes, plus a stellar lineup of matcha, juices, and pastries that make it a welcoming spot even for non-coffee lovers.”

Excellent baristas. High quality coffee , I am very serious about my coffee and here I finally was able to drink good coffee. Lovely place with chilling atmosphere , feels like you in Thailand.
If you’re looking for good coffee, this is not it. I got an espresso, which came in a 12 oz cup, and almost half full. It was under extracted and lacked a lot of flavor. If espresso is the base of a lot of their drinks, then the same quality will follow.
This is a huge space in the crossroads & a one-of-a-kind coffee shop in KC! I had the most delicious Hawaiian macchiato salted caramel donut & an iced toasty coast coconut cinnamon latte w/oatmilk! Both were delicious! I highly recommend giving this spot a try.
This has been my favorite coffee shop in KC for years and I don't even like coffee! It's perfect for me because they have so many other things to enjoy - teas, juices, matcha, dole whip, and I love the bagels and acai bowl! The atmosphere is so relaxing and a true oasis in the city. It's so nice to sit here for a while, relax, and work on my laptop. Not to mention the staff and ownership is so friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
Walked into a cozy but very busy coffee shop, lots of different little seating nooks. Nobody greeted me so it wasn't really welcoming. As I stood in front of the order area. I did ask about the hawaiian machiato, the barista fumbled to explain what it was. Not a big deal but her coworker was able to step in and assist and im glad she did as it's what I ordered. I did order a large but apparently they only have it in the 16oz. That was disappointing as im a 20-24 oz coffee guy. They offer it in both hot or iced. I got the hot. It has a smoke caramel aroma that you can both taste and smell and i will def be going back to try the iced version. I also got one of their donuts that they offered to heat up for me. Which really made it sit and taste better in all honesty. I have some videos posted with my food and drink rating but overall i give this coffee shop a 4 out of 5 stars or a 7.1 out of 10. They had some other little shops inside which were a little confusing kansas city sew company and a local vendor but nobody working to sell the merchandise.
