Crema's Take
“This Raleigh gem goes beyond standard coffee shop fare with imaginative, flavor-forward drinks that actually deliver on their creative names—think cinnamon toast crunch lattes and brown sugar shaken beverages made with fresh herbs and spices. The espresso is excellent and the pastries equally impressive, but what keeps people coming back is the welcoming atmosphere and genuine heart of the team running the place, making it equally suited for a quick caffeine boost, a focused work session, or lingering conversation with friends.”

The coffee was exceptional. I had the cinnamon toast crunch latte and it definitely tasted like cinnamon toast crunch. I also had the pecan croissant and again, it was delicious. The vibes were great. A nice little hidden gem to grab a cup of coffee or get some work done.
Visiting Raleigh for 3 days for a work thing and came here twice. Excellent macchiato, tasty pastries and really nice staff. A great way to start a day.
This place is amazing and the people that run it have a really good heart. I always make time to stop in when I’m around. Great place to eat, drink, chat or work. And check out the brown sugar shaken espresso, you won’t be disappointed!
This is one of the most unique coffee shops I’ve experienced so far. The drink selection are very unique. The drinks are made with fresh ingredients, herbs and spices! I tried the blueberry coffee tonic, over ice and it was amazing! I can’t wait to come back and try another drink. I also got a fresh croissant and OMG, it was so buttery and decadent! The customer service is very genuine too! I really enjoyed my experience here!
42 & Lawrence coffee shop has such a lovely vibe. What brought me in initially were the unique latte names and flavors. Love Potion is my favorite so far but every time I turn around there’s another flavor I want to try. The owner has clearly added her style and magic touch to the atmosphere inside. There are plants all around and unique sitting arrangements; a bar at the window with unique stools, a bar along the barista’s station, and several tables. There is also outside seating available too. Thank you so much for providing an intriguing and calming atmosphere to enjoy coffee in downtown!
