Crema's Take
“I appreciate you sharing this information, but I need to let you know that these reviews appear to be for Lex Apartments, a residential complex in Lexington, rather than a coffee shop. As a specialty coffee discovery app, I focus on cafes and coffee roasters, so I wouldn't have content about apartment communities in my database. If you're looking for a coffee shop summary in Lexington, KY, feel free to share details about an actual cafe and I'd be happy to write something warm and specific about it!”

My daughter is a current resident - we won’t be renewing the lease. I have reached out to the leasing office several times, nobody has responded to me. I have visited her a few times this year and I’ve noticed that each time at least one elevator is broken. She said that is normal. She has lost WiFi on countless occasions and had to go to the library to study. The fire alarm apparently goes off a few times a month. There are so many false alarms that the residents ignore it now. The external door closest to her apartment has been broken since she moved in, so the security is fake. It takes several months for work orders to be complete. So much so, I bring tools when I visit and fix things myself. So far I’ve repaired an outlet, a garbage disposal, and a broken dryer. The pipes burst and flooded a stairwell. The stairwell was out of order for weeks. While the elevator was broken. No fire hazard there. Everything is dirty and in disrepair. When you visit in the summer you’ll think they are working on the place. You’ll see a lot of half painted walls and broken things. Don’t be fooled - they aren’t fixing any of that Just got another notice today that the water is not working. And another fire alarm. The response to this post is ridiculous. The doors have been broken all year long. And they want me to believe they are working to fix them
Great place to live with a responsive team I’ve had a really positive experience with this community. The property is well maintained, common areas are kept clean, and maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally. The management team is communicative and genuinely cares about resident concerns, which makes a big difference. The location is convenient, the grounds are taken care of, and overall it’s a comfortable place to call home. If you’re looking for a property where issues are addressed promptly and residents are treated with respect, this is a solid choice.
For it's price point, the Lex is definitely worth the money. The staff are super nice and helpful with the process and with any issues you have. The only consistent problem I've had is that matinence is a bit slow at getting repairs done and you may have to remind them about your problem, but it is a large apartment complex so this is understandable. Overall, it's a pretty good investment, especially if you want to live close to campus.
I’ve enjoyed living at the lex so far. While the WiFi does go out from time to time, it’s generally fixed in a very timely manner. I love living above restaurants while also being close to campus. I like being able to do laundry whenever I please and having my own bathroom is so nice. The staff that work here are awesome too. I specifically really like Reagan. He came and helped fix my sink while off the clock and was a crucial part of my happiness here at the lex. That guy deserves a raise 🤞. Overall the lex has been awesome and I can’t wait to stay here another year 💩😘
For my first year going to school at the University of Kentucky, I love living at the Lex Apartments! The rooms are awesome and I love having my own room and bathroom, plus having a very nice kitchen, living room and small balcony overlooking the South End of the campus. It is also great because it has a washing machine and dryer in the room so you can do laundry whenever you want. This apartment complex also offers a dog park outside and a nice pool for all of its residents. While it is a short walk to campus and a long walk to the northern parts of campus, it is worth it to have such an amazing living space all year. The staff here is very nice and welcoming and always put on a smile during their jobs. I highly recommend this apartment complex if you are looking for somewhere to stay while going to the UK.
