Meeting Grounds
220 N Main St, Greenville, SC
Crema's Take
“Meeting Grounds captures that sweet spot where specialty coffee craft meets genuine human connection, with baristas like Miles, Jocelyn, Brianna, and Taylor who turn quick coffee runs into memorable conversations. Their creative signature drinks—like the iced lavender honey latte—pair beautifully with quality pastries and light fare, all best enjoyed from their outdoor tables overlooking NOMA Square on a sunny Greenville afternoon. It's the kind of place where you can linger as long as you'd like, whether you're meeting a friend or settling in with your laptop.”

Delicious roasted coffee served with heavy cream and refills available upon request. Comfortable seating areas attractively decorated and well lighted, including Wi-Fi and electrical outlets . Popped in here for a late lunch for something quick and “quick” turned into a whole conversation with Brianna and Taylor who were absolutely wonderful to talk to. I had the iced lavender honey latte and blistered tomato & whipped ricotta toast, both items were delicious! Just enough to fill me up but not be overly full. Menu has a lot of offerings coffee wise and good amount of toasts/sandwiches as well. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming, will definitely be back!!
Sweet, friendly baristas serving up great coffee. I also enjoyed the toast! I really love the outdoor tables on a nice day overlooking NOMA Square.
When I went late this afternoon, I was excited to try a new local coffee shop. It quickly turned to a very anxiety producing time upon enterance. Instead of the friendly barista, I saw a kiosk to take my order. I saw someone scanning items. I was confused so I wasn't sure how to order my drink. I tried the kiosk and it just told me to.scan items. I became more anxious. I almost walked out. But I thought maybe I could order my drink in person. I walked up to the counter. Two people were laughing and enjoying their job. One of the women came to my rescue when she turned her head and explained very well how to order my drink. It's sad. I loved the honey lavender latte that I ordered. It's one of the reasons I added a star. However, I did not like the atmosphere. It felt cold and unwelcoming. I am disappointed that instead of becoming a regular and making friends with the baristas... I was met with a cold kiosk. They even text message you when your order is up. So basically there is little to no in person customer service during entire time there. As, much as I enjoyed the drink
The coffee is good and the service is good but you have to order using the kiosk. For a locally owned coffee shop, I found the atmosphere to be a little bit bland and corporate like. It's not really my kind of place but I give it five stars because there's really nothing deficient, just not to my taste. I met a friend here for coffee and we didn't order any food so I can't rate that. They were kind enough to provide one free refill which we appreciated. The location is really good next to the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
