Crema's Take

I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I need to let you know that Tandoori Taqueria is a restaurant, not a coffee shop—so it falls outside what Crema covers. We focus specifically on specialty coffee destinations where the coffee itself is the main draw. If you have a café or coffee roastery you'd like me to write about instead, I'd be happy to help!

These are best, most unique tacos in SLC. The naan is so smoky and delicious. Every taco is great (but my favorite is the phulkopir). If you like pickles you gotta get the bowl of pickles. Also do not miss the kombooch. Everything here is so flavorsome and delicious. The atmosphere is so chill you could probably post up here and study and eat tacos all day!

Genuinely so in love with this place after just one visit. My friends and I were visiting from Colorado and walked around the Maven district (such a cute and friendly art and business district), and we came across this little fusion restaurant. First impression, the atmosphere and décor were so welcoming and comforting. Felt like I walked into a home that had a lovely living space and an open air kitchen. The layout was so cute with so many tables to choose from. The menu was easy to read and very satisfying to our many different cravings and dietary restrictions. We had some of the best tacos we have ever experienced, complimented with the house made sauces that were to die for! I also had the new piña drink with saffron that was refreshing, not too sweet, and so satisfying. Could’ve enjoyed a gallon of that stuff to myself (I need the recipe). Finished off the meal with some orange and saffron cake that was made fresh that day. I felt so satisfied after the meal, I would’ve been happy to eat there the rest of our weekend in town. The owner was so lovely to talk to and provided recommendations for things to do in the area. She also let us know that the restaurant is a ‘no-waste’ business and that was such a refreshing thing to hear. 10/10 restaurant, no notes from anyone in my group of four. If I lived in Salt Lake City I would be frequenting this lovely establishment daily.

Very unique and tasty tacos here. Also shoutout to them for having a lot of gluten free options. All their tacos can be GF if you switch from the naan to their corn tortilla. I did their taco trio and the beef/chorizo was the best of the 3. All were delicious though. Also did their pickle plate. Personally, was not for me.

Best flan I've ever had. Creative and yummy vegetarian taco options. The beef and chorizo taco might be the best in the world.

Adorable space! Delicious nan tacos! We had the tandoori and the tika. The tandoori was out of this world delicious. We also liked the “kitchen sink” sauce they served as an option. Max, who took our order AND did the cooking, was a standout. 10/10 for Tandoori Taqueria!
