Spyhouse Coffee Roasters | St. Paul
420 Snelling Ave S, Saint Paul, MN
Crema's Take
“Spyhouse Coffee Roasters has carved out a beloved corner of St. Paul's coffee scene with genuinely excellent espresso drinks and rotating seasonal specials that keep regulars coming back—their lavender lattes and decadent Carmella are particular standouts. The vibe strikes that perfect balance between purposeful third space (great for lingering with a laptop or meeting a friend) and efficient quick-grab destination, all wrapped up in a chill, family-friendly atmosphere complemented by exquisite pastries like their Danish and chocolate croissants. Fair warning: the quality comes at a premium price point, but most visitors find the care in their coffee and welcoming space worth the splurge.”
What to expect
Espresso-focused, with a pour-over program. A slow-sit, laptop-friendly, quick-grab spot, good for meetings. Pastries on the menu.

Just had a meeting at Spy House this morning. That was undeniably the best cappuccino I have ever had in the USA. Rich, boozy and absolutely perfect. The gluten free brownie didn’t hurt either. Thank you so much for a coffee affirming experience.
Always nice to stop by this neighborhood coffee shops. Amazing coffee roasted by them. Friendly staffs and patrons. Great ambiance with local artworks Now serving cup o noodles. Live music every Friday. Noon-1pm. Roast their own coffees.
Spring menu is out! Delighted with my breakfast this morning…slightly on the pricier side. Danish was exquisite!
Great spot to sit and take a beat. The coffee is fantastic. The seasonal specials are delicious. They have a solid selection of sweet and savory pastries. If you’re feeling decadent, get a Carmella with oat milk and slowly melt into a puddle!

A classic Minnesota coffee shop, now unfortunately, featuring prices that are even higher than their chain competitors like Starbucks and Caribou. After tax, I paid close to eight dollars for their signature, spy, girl latte, and I recall it tasting much better in the past, this…
