Asheville Acai

The bowls are delicious, and the customer service is incredible. My husband and I went here for the first time last week, and took our first bites joyfully. The fruit was perfectly fresh and the flavors were well balanced. I have a gluten allergy and made a note in the order to skip the oats if they were not gluten free. Unfortunately I suddenly had a severe allergic reaction after a few bites and had to go to urgent care, though I don't think it was from the oats since the reaction was that my throat swelled up rather than the stomach upset and skin reaction I normally get if I accidentally consume gluten. The staff helpfully informed us it may have been due to the bee pollen, which would have been unexpected since I eat local honey very often, and a google search showed that very few people have such a reaction to bee pollen in food. The staff stayed in touch with us after I sought care for my allergy, showing immense kindness for the situation. We returned a few days later to get more acai bowls (this time I skipped the bee pollen and oats just in case). I highly recommend this place as the food was amazing and they really seem to care about their customers! A welcome addition to the downtown food scene, Asheville Açaí Company serves up scrumptious bowls featuring the famous antioxidant powerhouse, with other available bases including matcha, coconut, and dragon fruit. Plentiful fresh toppings are offered to expand your bowl’s color, flavor, and nutrition. Melissa, the highly personable owner, is a committed local who relishes the chance to serve her community in a healthy and happy way. The shop is welcoming, uncluttered and meticulously clean. Bowls can be taken to go or enjoyed in the pleasant, airy space of the Haywood Park Hotel atrium.

Hands down the BEST Acai bowl I have ever had!!! Delicously tasty and fresh. Large portions. And the owner is very friendly and accomodating.

For starters — MAGGIE, you’re a rockstar! This 14-year-old girl brought her açaí dreams to life with her family, and I’m so impressed. I’ve been dreaming of an açaí spot in Asheville, and these guys delivered better than I could have imagined! It’s in a great location on Haywood, tucked inside a little mini mall. The bowls and smoothies are all thoughtfully curated — or you can build your own! The family is kind and patient while you order (even if you change your mind a million times because everything looks so good). They offer two sizes: a snack bowl at 12 oz and a traditional bowl at 16 oz. Ingredients are SO fresh! I’m obsessed — and they just opened! I’ll definitely be a frequent flyer!!!
