Common Grounds Espresso

We normally really like this place, but when we went last we ordered something random off the specials menu just because we never switch it up. When she told us our total was OVER $20 for two 16oz drinks I honestly thought she had gotten our order wrong. But apparently the specials are insanely priced. We had no idea, and I asked "Have you already made it? Because I would really like to get something else." And the poor girl who seems like she's just had no customer service training said "Yeah... It's already made...". I wasn't about to go Karen on her so we paid for the drinks and left but honestly we left the shop feeling worse than when we arrived and wished we hadn't stopped for coffee at all. I tried to find a way to contact the business that was not public but could not find a phone number or email address so this was the only way. I think in the future some of the girls could really use some extra support in their training, especially on scenarios with unhappy customers (I've worked in coffee before and the standard as always been to offer something else if they're not happy with their order), and for the love of God PLEASE put prices on your specials so people know to avoid them if they don't want to spend $11 on ONE drink!

Today's service was great, my passenger didn't know what they wanted so we waited. Then, placed our order. It was made just like we wanted it. Very friendly and on valentine's day, they have heart shaped straws!

Coffee is always a miss. Never had a consistent drink. The last time I was there my drink didn’t taste anything like what I always ordered so I kindly asked them to remake it. They said they were going to charge me extra. I think it’s a bit ridiculous if the drink I ordered doesn’t taste like they put in any flavoring at all and I’m to pay more for what I always order.

Review for Old Seward Hwy Location. When I first starting going to Common Grounds, it was amazing... Smiles, great service, amazing food and coffee. (There are 2 gals that are truly amazing but I think they have either moved on or moved locations) Sad. 😔 Unfortunately now... No smiles, rudeness, lack of good customer service at times and the coffee is hit and miss (sometimes watered down or burnt tasting) On 9/25, the worst coffee I've received yet and I get the same drink everytime. Not to mention the environment...bees flying all around the window area putting both customers and employees at risk of getting stung. For some, that is a hospital visit. On my last visit 9/25, one of the employees got stung and I had to fight to get a bee out of my vehicle before I could leave. Unacceptable. I'm speaking out for the safety of both the employees and customers. I believe there is room for improvement here.

Super tasty! I got a frappuccino with chocolate, hazlenut, and caramel to make it like a Snickers.. the worker was very nice too. The drink wasn't too strongly sugary either, it was balanced.
