Crema's Take

This Ward Village gem strikes an admirable balance between serious coffee craft and relaxed island vibes, with knowledgeable staff who pour exceptional Kona coffee and espresso drinks in a space that feels both cozy and Instagram-worthy. The menu goes beyond typical cafe fare—their house-made breakfast sandwiches and veggie options pair beautifully with their pour overs, making it worth lingering in the sunny outdoor seating or festive indoor nooks, though be prepared for prices that reflect Honolulu's premium positioning. It's the kind of place where locals return multiple days in a row and travelers stumble in by happy accident, leaving with the feeling they've discovered something authentically local rather than touristy.

We stopped here just be chance early morning on a weekday and had a wonderful small little breakfast. We both had already had coffee, so we came here for a small bite to eat, which is kind of funny considering it's a coffee place. I got an acai bowl and my wife got a cinnamon toast thing. Both were really good and totally hit the spot. We're definitely going to come back here and next time we'll order coffee as well. The inside was nice and comfortable, there was another person there who had a cute dog that looked like a corgi/chihuahua mix, it added to the charm of the place!

Lovely cafe with very friendly staff. Cozy indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious veggie sandwich, i went back two days in a row for it! Good pourover Kona coffee - perfect pairing with the food [no “loud” or “multilayered” tasting notes, just a well done black coffee].

Very cute coffee shop with festive decorations and beautiful mural. The staff were welcoming and friendly when we asked about the menu. They have a variety of coffee, food, tea, and Dave’s even ice cream. We ordered the Lomi Salmon Bagel, Masala Chai, and Island Breakfast Tea. The Lomi Salmon Bagel was pretty good and I liked the smoked salmon. I recommend the Masala Chai if you like black tea!

Great place with a few picture opportunities on the grounds. The staff was very welcoming and I heard their t-shirts, unsure if it is all t-shirts, were pre-shrunk. That is a plus. They seem to be of good quality as well. They had several coffee flavors to try and I was able to get an ice caramel latte and a sea salt caramel cookie. They were both excellent. I don't really drink coffee frequently, but theirs was very flavorful, and smooth. No bitter aftertaste to me. I would go again.
