Crema's Take
“Good News Bar is a stunningly designed alcohol-free beverage destination that doubles as a creative playground for curious palates—think turmeric-forward golden matcha, sophisticated mocktails like the "Lucky A B" that captures the essence of champagne, and adventurous sips infused with kava or CBD. The whole space radiates intentionality, from the gorgeous interior design to the thoughtfully curated menu of signature drinks and vegan pastries, creating an atmosphere that feels like a celebration of craft without the hangover. It's the kind of place where you'll want to linger with a laptop or friends, completely charmed by the care that's gone into every detail.”

Such a vibe. I tried the iced golden matcha (perfectly mixed with a nice turmeric kick), a warm and flaky spinach pocket, and the “Oy Vey” kava drink — super interesting and gives you that cocktail-style kick without the alcohol. The ambiance is incredible. When I came in, they had a tarot reader, photo booth, and flash tattoos going on — it felt alive and welcoming. Definitely coming back and bringing friends. Love what they’re building here.
Love this spot! Just absolutely gorgeous inside…I can tell how much money, creativity, and care was put into this place. What a beautiful spot and thank you for putting it together for others to enjoy. I was skeptical about how good a mocktail could be but wow the flavors were so complex and tasty. Better than most cocktails I’ve had! I had the paper route and my bf had woods - 10/10 recommend both of them. I also love the tribute to Mac miller and how the drinks are named after his songs. Can’t wait to come back for coffee in the morning.
What a unique (sans alcohol) bar! I had the “Lucky A B” and WOW it really feels like I’m drinking Brut without the bitter kick. Also, I had the raspberry poptart (vegan) which was delicious! The aesthetic is very midcentury modern and honestly couldn’t decide where to sit because everything looked so fun.
This is it! The atmosphere, the service and the menu…yesss chef’s kiss! The drinks are a bit pricey but worth it. Some are infused with cbd of kava which is a nice touch for an alcohol free bar. They even have a selection of games to play while you’re sipping. I can’t wait to go back and taste more of their mixes. Highly recommend 🥂
So happy a place like this has opened in San Diego! Creative menu, friendly service, open airy and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. Feels really thoughtfully curated and like somewhere I want to spend mornings working remote and meeting clients / and evenings having cocktails with friends. The morning cocktail list was insane! Had the Dirty Jet Fuel and loved it. Looking forward to coming for evening service soon.
