Northwest Coffee Roasting Company
4251 Laclede Ave, St. Louis, MO
Crema's Take
“Northwest Coffee Roasting Company is a scrappy, plants-everywhere kind of roastery where the minimalist vibes and cozy greenhouse atmosphere make you want to linger with a pour over or espresso pulled on their La Marzocco machine. The team clearly knows their craft—they're fiercely competitive about freshness and quality, roasting beans in-house and pairing excellent coffee with standout pastries like the legendary chicken salad croissant that keeps people coming back. It's the kind of St. Louis spot that feels unpretentious and lived-in, where you might squeeze into a snug corner but leave feeling like you've discovered something genuinely good.”

Fun, scrappy coffee roaster who knows what they're doing and are fiercely competing in the area. The vibe is minimalistic yet comfortable, if a little cramped in the main seating area, but that's because they roast the coffee right in front of you, and that machinery takes up a lot of room. However, I love that kind of authenticity-- no hiding the process, you know? I've never eaten the food, but they have a selection of pretty nice looking pastries and I think they can whip up a couple more things, I'm just there for the coffee because that's my jam. I oscillate between this place and Coffee Stamp depending mainly upon material circumstances, but both roast some great coffee, and I happily throw lots of money at both places.
Super cozy vibes. The coffee was amazing and the chicken salad croissant was the best thing ever! Great service and friendly staff.
This is a cool place both inside and out. All the plants are for sale, it feels like sitting in a greenhouse. Service for just 2 coffees took longer than normal and they were not very busy when we first arrived. That was ok though because the coffee and pastries were good.
Ran out of fresh beans n needed my morning coffee (its morning for me!) LOL, this bougie expresso machine from Breville (thanks bff!) only uses fresh roasted beans (less than 30 days)...so glad Northwest Coffee Co was around the corner with fresh beans! First time there cool spot seems like and the Tanzania Peaberry roast is 🔥🔥!
The ambience is amazing, very cozy and friendly. I like the fact that they use a lamarzocco coffee machine, but the barista can definitely do better job.
