Betterday Coffee
905 W Alameda St, Santa Fe, NM
Crema's Take
“Tucked into Santa Fe, this casual spot excels at what it does best: smooth, standout cold brew and hearty breakfast burritos loaded with veggie goodness, especially when you catch them on a good day. It's a quick, friendly neighborhood gathering place where you can grab a solid coffee and light meal, though consistency seems to be a work in progress for their kitchen and facilities. The sweet staff and efficient service make it a reliable choice for a dependable caffeine fix and a satisfying breakfast in a laid-back setting.”

I much prefer Ohoris. . I ordered a Cappuccino Doppio and they didn't know what that was. Cashier said he thought that was my name. When i recieved my drink, it was definately not a Cappuccino doppio (double). It was more like a weak latte. It also seems like the place for a dogfight to happen or someone to get bit. There were 3 dogs in there at the same time.
I have supported Better day since it opened. Yesterday, there was a water leak coming through an operating ceiling light. Once you look up, you realize the ceiling area is very dirty and nasty. There is very old dust all over above the food. Cleanliness has not been the stongsuit of this coffee shop, but please do some deep cleaning, painting and just maintain it better.
This place was recommended by a coworker. I like that they have an option to put your burrito in a jar, so I got a veggie one with christmas chile. I enjoyed the copious amount of veggie, but had a hard time finding the chile. I found a bit of green chile, but it might've been missing the red. Still pretty good. This place is popular with folks working on laptops, but the shop is a lot bigger than it looks, so there's a lot of seating.
I keep giving this place a chance and I’m usually disappointed. The coffee is decent, the service is quick, the employees are sweet, but the quality of the food is not great. The breakfast burritos are sopping in oil, making it hard to eat without it dripping everywhere and falling apart. There is also such a lack of flavor. For the price, I don’t feel it’s worth it. It’s a great place to sit and chill but not to have a quality meal.
It's only my second time here. The cold brew is amazing and is so smooth that I could honestly drink it black. Today, I got a classic burrito and drip coffee. The burrito is top tier; you can tell their tortillas are handmade and it was cooked pretty quickly even though there are lots of folks in and out. It's so nice to drink a drip coffee that stands by itself and has such a good flavor.
