Crema's Take

This beloved Helena bakery and cafe earns consistent praise for its standout breakfast burritos and homemade touches like their fresh salsa, though their baked goods can be inconsistent—some customers rave about perfectly crafted jalapeño cheddar wraps while others find the biscuits occasionally overcooked. The genuine warmth of the staff and their obvious care in sourcing quality ingredients create a genuinely welcoming family atmosphere, making it worth a visit even if your first trip might not be perfect.

I have been here a total of three times. First two times, average at best. Cost wise, not worth the price. Third time though was a takeout order for an egg bowl. $17. When the order was handed to me in the take out box, no weight to it whatsoever. That made me think, what had I just gotten for $17. My fault, should have opened before I left, but I didn't. If I had, I would've left it with the counter employee. When I got home, it was the most inedible thing someone could've ordered. Bacon, spinich, cheese all melted into one glob on top of what appeared to be maybe two eggs. Non appealing and hardly appetizing at all. Recommendation, find somehwhere else.

I dropped in for an amazing breakfast burrito. I find that no one makes them the way I hope but these guys knocked it out of the park! The jalapeño cheddar wrap was on point. Super sweet staff too! They’ve got a full coffee menu and they even carry local kombucha from Back to the Mother. It’s a great way the digestion when you’re having a hearty meal.

My first disappointing experience here. Biscuits are too burnt could only kinda eat the middle of one biscuit, gravy is good. All the specials on the board were sold out but are still being displayed? Service was very short and not friendly . I'm taking it inconsideration everyone has an off day . I still say grateful bread is a wonderful place and atmosphere, but if you know you burnt a biscuit you shouldn't give it to a paying customer and kindness goes a long way you don't know what somebody's going through Also, I open a business right across the street everyday at 6:00 a.m. I love the fact that you guys are open, and I'm just going off what is being offered on the menu and "special's". If there is a certain time that I can only purchase the specials , maybe for future specify the time so there will be no confusion. ☺️

It’s a good thing this place isn’t on my route to work. Excellent service, and delicious food! The breakfast burrito had a wonderful combination of flavors, and the homemade salsa was the icing on the cake…scrumdiddlyumptious! Great variety of fresh baked goods daily. Keep an eye out for their daily special. Thanks for the great service and breakfast! Update: I dare you to try and make it to work before you finish the ham and cheddar croissant. One bite and you’re hooked! Great for on the go breakfast, lunch, or snack.

This place is good. They take pride in their craft and are very friendly. I got the biscuits and gravy. They were good but I didn’t like the sage in the biscuit. I felt it created a bitterness I didn’t really like with the gravy. I also had a blueberry hand pie. Very good. I wished it were cooked just a little longer for some caramelization but it was very good. The lemon poppyseed scone was the best thing. You really should try one.
