Sugar Magnolia Takery

First visit. Ordered lasagna with green beans. Lasagna was lukewarm warm and kind of dry. Had to have it heated up. Good green beans and garlic bread. A generous number of prepackaged to go items but didn’t see any pricing labels. Once you enter it’s not clear where you should go to be seated or where to order. It’s not a big space but the staff is very pleasant and helpful.

I ordered a customized cake, and I honestly couldn't be happier! The cake was absolutely beautiful-- the details were perfect and exactly what I asked for. But what really impressed me was that it tasted just as amazing as it looked. Moist, flavorful, everyone loved it!!❤️❤️ You can truly tell how much care, creativity, and skill went into this cake. It was amazing and made the occasion even more special. I will definitely be ordering again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a custom cake that's both stunning and delicious.

Discovered this bakery after seeing a social media post. I’m so glad I found you all! Your treats went to lots of teachers, nurses and my family enjoyed the rest! I’m so sad that I did not take any pictures. The only picture I have is of this half eaten tub of Cranberry chicken salad! Quite possibly the best that I have ever had! I love it! We have a tub of gumbo in the freezer to try later on! There are also plate lunches and an area to sit inside or outside! I can’t wait to dine in!

This is my go to bakery. I have used them for the last 3-4 years, and they have always been super helpful and polite, even when I have shown up two days before needing cookies and cakes for a special event with very specific designs and needs. And they always taste amazing!

I was in the area for a sports event for my son. Felt like some sweets and googled. I made my way over to the Sugar Magnolia Takery. It was a tad intimidating walking in. Seemed like everyone there looked directly at me as soon as I hit the door. I wasn't greeted the best, basically a what do you want and a 'we don't do lunch on the weekends'. It was kind of off-putting, but the sweets looked amazing, so I continued to look around. Nobody really had a smile on their face, but I get it. Nobody wants to be at work on a Saturday, I guess. 😂 Now on to the GREAT part. The freaking sweets are the best I have ever had... and I've had way more than I should. I taste tested the brookie, the brownie with icing on top (omg the icing!), a lemon chess square, and a petit four. Those 4 were around 17 dollars. All amazing. I really can not say enough. On the way out, I saw a cooler of prepared food. Take and bake trays, but they also had prepared chicken salad, pimento cheese, and a few other savory items. I opted to try the chicken salad. It was around 15 dollars for the portion size shown in the attached photo. It was like unlike any I have ever had before. I tried to take a photo to show the shredded chicken inside it. It was a mix between peppery and sweet. My words will not do it justice. It had grapes in it with a mayo base! Again, fantastic! If you are not adventurous with your palate and like traditional chicken salad, this may not be for you. Lots of people were picking up King cakes. One patron was offered a piece to sample, I was not, so I can not give my review on it. Being from Louisiana, I would have had very high standards for a king cake, though, so it was probably for the best😄. So, if you are passing through, this little shop is worth a stop. Just don't expect the friendliest welcome😂
