Crema's Take

FolkArt is a beloved brunch destination in Decatur where vintage charm and thoughtful cooking collide, with a genuine commitment to doing the classics right—think excellently seasoned grits, whole hog sausage, and tender short ribs that inspire people to finish every bite. The vintage art and eclectic décor create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere where you can linger over coffee or grab something quick, and the staff consistently goes the extra mile to make you feel cared for even when the place is buzzing. Whether you're after a traditional breakfast or something more refined like their crab cake sliders and Bloody Marys, this is the kind of place where the details matter and people keep coming back.

Friendly place for brunch. Food was tasty and uniquely prepared and our waitress, Taylor, was kind and efficient. We also enjoyed the unique art and vintage items throughout. Clean, fresh, and unique. Glad we stopped by.

This is a pretty decent brunch spot. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly and as attentive as they can be with how busy it can get. They really need a better arrangement for where people should wait for a table. If it’s too cold outside then people are just going to wait inside next to the only entrance. There were also a lot of people just waiting next to our table where we ate. The table was a little small and wobbly but we didn’t mind because it fit the vibes of the place nicely. We enjoyed all of the unique art on the walls. The food was okay, the fried green tomatoes were good. The French toast was great and so was the burger. They do not skimp on portion size! Overall a pretty neat brunch spot if you’re in the area.

Excellent food, excellent Bloody Mary, good service. One of the few places where you can get decent grits that actually taste great! One of the few places that sells whole hog sausage, also delicious. Today's meal was short ribs and grits. I've been on several occasions. Also in the picture was a different dish, which was corned beef hash. Every dish i've eaten here has been very good and very well presented!

9/13/25 update-Food was even better today. I had the chicken salad sandwich with grits. Food was outstanding. I had the crab cake sliders and a side of grits. It's good. My go to dish is the fish and grits. My wife had the Salmon Eggs Benedict . It was good.
