Crema's Take

Oxford Hall is a wonderfully genuine blend of Celtic shop and café where you can linger over a proper pot of loose-leaf tea while browsing shelves of British and Irish goods, all while the genuinely warm staff makes you feel like a regular from your first visit. The food here goes beyond typical café fare—think authentic meat pies, sausage rolls, and full breakfast spreads that feel homemade and comforting, paired with standout coffee and pastries that keep people coming back with genuine devotion. It's the kind of place where an hour-long tea break transforms into an unexpected adventure through their curated selection of traditional drinks and sundries, leaving you feeling transported and welcomed.

My husband and I stopped in for a pot of tea, and ended up enjoying the tea, food, pastries and various sundries the shop carries. The staff in the restaurant and shop were welcoming and very pleasant. We spent a lovely afternoon there and plan to make it a habit.

Love love love this place. 7/5 stars if only I could give them that many. They have jars and jars of loose leaf tea for sale. It was my first time scooping my own tea and I didn't know that whole ounces were needed. I thought I'd just round up and overpay for my tea but then be more accurate on my 2nd attempt. The shop keeper wouldn't even allow me to be taken advantage of by my own hand or on my first trip. Top notch folks and the cutest shop/cafe you've ever seen.

A true local gem! Oxford Hall Celtic Shop and Café completely exceeded my expectations. The food and coffee were absolutely outstanding, rich, comforting, and instantly transported me back to my time in Ireland. The café has that warm, homelike charm you don’t find often, and the attached shop is a treasure trove for anyone who loves Celtic culture. They carry everything an avid Celtic traveler or enthusiast could want, with a selection that’s both impressive and thoughtfully curated. Even better, the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality. Every employee I interacted with was genuinely warm, welcoming, and eager to help. I’m incredibly grateful to have such an authentic and delightful establishment so close to home. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Ultimately, this was a very good experience. The store was nice and had good prices. The food was excellent (afternoon tea, meat pies, sausage roll, scones, scotch egg) and was enough to fill all six of us. The folks were friendly too. There were two things that took one star away. First, when we arrived, some of the workers were not entirely friendly, almost like the six of us were a burden. They eventually warmed up to us (or maybe we just caught them at a bad moment?) The other thing was the wait, especially since we had 1:00 reservations, arrived at 12:50, and started getting some of our food at 2:10. To be fair, they DO warn of that in their website and it was lovely to walk around the store while waiting. Still, this could be an area of improvement.

Authentic is the first word that comes to mind. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. They've got a great little that features British and Irish foods. They also provide, First Communion products, 70 different kinds of loose tea, Celtic and Catholic jewelry and so much more. Love getting some of the imported snack foods a stocking stuffers during the holidays.
