Perkatory Coffee Roasters
4 Brushy Plain Rd #515, Hamden, CT
Crema's Take
“Perkatory roasts their own beans in-house, and regulars rave about both the quality of their self-roasted offerings and the creative, customizable specialty drinks that the genuinely friendly staff will happily adapt to your needs. The space itself is a cozy, eclectic hangout with quirky themed décor, comfortable couches, and plenty of room to linger over a pour over or laptop work, though it's worth knowing that peak hours can mean a wait for your drink.”

I love the aesthetic and the coffee here! They're always so friendly and helpful, and they accommodated my request for a sugar-free specialty drink with no problem. I always look forward to their monthly specials!
Me and my girlfriend’s favorite place for coffee in the state. Their drinks are fantastic, but my favorite thing is their self roasted beans for sale which I don’t think they get enough credit for. They’re so fresh and are never acrid/bitter. They have a fantastic decaf roast as well! If you care about at home coffee, these beans are great to buy. What I will say is don’t come if you’re in a rush expecting super fast service like dunkin or starbucks. Especially on a weekend it can take 10-15 minutes just to get your drink if they’re busy. With that being said, it’s much better than those places and you’re supporting a local chain!
I really want to like this place but I always leave disappointed. It takes at least 10-15 mins to get a latte, which I find annoying. I’ve only seen a max of two people staffed, one taking orders and one making drinks. They’re usually chit chatting back and forth about non-order related things which slows them down. Maybe others perceive this as friendly service? The coffee is good and the atmosphere is cool. I’ll spend my $8 on a latte elsewhere. They were so much better when they first opened.
