Crema's Take

This espresso-focused gem in Hamden strikes a welcoming balance between serious coffee craft and comfortable community space, with rotating single-origin selections that let you choose your own adventure. Their iced coffee is particularly stellar, and the pastry case—especially the scones—pairs beautifully with both specialty drinks and traditional chai, making it equally at home for a quick caffeine fix or a lingering meeting with friends.

This year, I made it a goal to explore as many coffee shops and tea houses as possible. My first visit to Cheshire Coffee was great—the space was welcoming, the coffee was excellent, and I truly enjoyed the experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Cheshire Coffee is a great place to visit! They usually offer 3 types of coffee, so you can pick your own grade. They carry muffins, cookies, croissants and their scones are delicious. They also have a selection of premade sandwiches. There is seating inside, or if the weather is nice, you can sit at tables outside. It is a fun place to catch up with a friend, or take your food to go.

I love this coffee shop! Needed a place to take a quick meeting before an appointment in Cheshire and found this spot online. Their iced coffee is absolutely delicious, with lots of flavor choices, & the wait staff was so kind! Try the cake batter iced coffee! I also appreciated that they have all milk and non-dairy creamer options out so you can pour your own. The place is massive for a coffee shop, with plenty of seating and tables for chatting with friends or getting some work done. WiFi was good & background music wasn’t too loud. I will definitely be back!

I am tea drinker and have ordered chai here a few times. I always add cinnamon syrups and things that will add more flavor to it. Their chai is super milky. I feel like if I didn’t add all the syrups and flavorings it would taste just like a cup of milk instead of flavored milk. I am reconsidering order drinks from here because when I order tea I want tea not a cup of milk for almost $8.00.

Their pumpkin latte's are really good but frankly their prices are a little bit out of this world. They do have a nice atmosphere and the place is pretty clean but their muffins completely fall apart when you eat them. I personally don't think that I will be returning because of how uppity the location is.
