Rockman Coffee and Bakeshop

Loved the atmosphere on a quiet Sunday afternoon! The coffee was excellent - a medium roast. I had the vanilla chantilly, apparently a weekend special. It was pricey at $7.25 but yummy - very light and sweet. The car park is paid, but there is free street parking on Clara St.

Have you ever indulged in something SO incredibly scrumptious you just want to close your eyes and remember that moment for the rest of your life? Or maybe scream for joy! This was my experience, eating at Rockman. Not pictured is my favorite thing on the menu - the pecan bars. I ate them too quick! They are to die for! The bagels are INSANE! Have you ever heard of a kouign amann? Chef Amanda Rockman must have the keys to the most amazing recipes on earth, or a gift from God to create and bake them, because her pastries will send you to heaven and back. I've never experienced such joy of eating non-savory food as I have from this shop. I wish I got to try some of their specialty hot beverages. Next time! Thank you so much for existing, Rockman ATX! This place is AMAAAAZING!!! 🙌

Run, don't walk, to order their custom cakes online. Ordered their lemon merengue cake months ago for a family member's birthday and it changed our lives with how lemony good and moist it was. The marshmallowy frosting on the outside was superb, too. The pics I have simply do not do it justice, it was exactly what I hoped for and so much more. Pictured is the 6" for 6-10 people. The communication was prompt and advance payment was a breeze to handle online. The team was so gracious in accommodating my timeline (make sure you order with plenty of time in advance -- website says to give them at least 5 days!) and pickup went off without a hitch. I can't wait to try their other custom cake flavors as well. I've been 2-3 times now. Their pastries and coffee drinks are delicious as well, all staff are so warm and inviting with their service, and patient with any questions I have for the products. Always pleased with this bakery!

Busy, very local neighborhood coffee shop/ bakery. Staff were super friendly and helpful on recommending different bakery items to try as a first time visitor. I enjoyed all the bakery items that I purchased and their specialty drink. The White Chocolate Hazelnut Mille Feuille had many layers of phyllo dough (baklava) along with custard and topped with cream and hazelnuts. It was very light and the custard filling was very good. The sourdough chocolate chip cookie really left an impression on me. It was so soft and not overly sweet; the hints of salt on top made this cookie taste even better. The spicy solstice was tasty; little hints of spicy kick from cayenne pepper and their coffee was good. If ever in Austin I would visit again just for the sourdough chocolate chip cookies.

I hosted my run club from here last week and it was PERFECT! Their social team is so sweet and the staff inside are so kind. The pastries were delicious, and honestly this was THE BEST latte I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a lot of coffee in my lifetime lol. I can’t wait to be back! Allow some time for a line on the weekends. Easy parking in the lot or street parking too. It was my friend’s birthday and they had a candle for her pastry and even brought out the blow torch from the back to light it. Great place! Within walking distance of ladybird trail.
