Crema's Take
“This tucked-away San Gabriel bakery is beloved for its Portuguese egg tarts, which regulars praise for their perfectly balanced custard and fresh-from-the-warmer quality, thanks to the owner's meticulous care. The vibe is genuinely welcoming—you can watch dough being mixed in-store and catch the baker's creative spirit in unique offerings like taro toast and black sesame cakes, all made fresh daily. It's the kind of neighborhood spot where the staff remembers you after years of visits, perfect for grabbing a coffee and pastry or ordering a same-day celebration cake.”

Very good Portuguese egg tarts! Not too eggy, the owner has them under a little warmer. They had the dough mixing machine going in store so you know they're fresh
i called in and was able to order a cake for same day pickup. the worker was extremely nice on the phone and when we arrived at the bakery. we ordered a black sesame cake for the new year and it was so delicious and came with a cake topper! not too sweet and the sesame taste was nutty and fragrant! would definitely order again! my family really enjoyed it :)
I got cake, bread, and egg tart from D’ange Bakery. They have good bread but the cake is incredibly dry, hard, and tasteless. The egg tart is just a mess. Check the photo, it’s basically some sloppy steamed egg on soggy dough. No flaky crust or creamy filling can be tasted in this tart.
We have been loving this bakery for seven to eight years. Today we took our three years daughter here and bought the taro toast because they were saying that these are freshly baked. We didn’t realize that they were moldy until my daughter had a few bites. We called the store, the manager or owner said that we need to bring them back to prove even though we live 30 miles away. We drove all the way back. At first they didn’t want to refund the other two breads. Later we got refund but no apologies from that owner.
Great bakery tucked away in a small trip mall on Las Tunas and Mission. Although small, the baked goods are so good here. They are also very creative with their pastries. This is the only shop I can find gigantic pineapple buns. One of the bun here equals to probable 4 to 5 regular buns that you would typically find at dim sum. They can also custom made cakes from 6 inch to whatever sizes you want with various different flavors and designs. We just ordered a 6 in chestnut cake with rose flower decoration for my mom's birthday. Order was done efficiently and timely. We ordered the cake one day before and was able to pick it up by next morning. I also like their Chinese pastries. One of my favorites is their Portuguese egg tart or Pastéis de Nata as they called the Custer in Portugal. The skin is so crispy and the egg tart filling tasted so good. I just can't stop eating them. Probably I have to run a couple of miles the next day to burn off the calories. There are so many great pastries here. I just have to come back to try them all. The owner is so friendly and she is always very helpful to introduce us to new products.
