Parkgrounds Café | Specialty Coffee Atlanta
142 Flat Shoals Ave SE, Atlanta, GA
Crema's Take
“Parkgrounds Café is a genuinely laid-back neighborhood gem in Inman Park where a knowledgeable, women-led team pulls seriously good espresso-focused coffee alongside hearty breakfast sandwiches (their sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit is a standout) and vegetarian options that actually matter. The space itself is wonderfully unpretentious—roomy outdoor patio, plenty of seating for lingering with friends or getting work done, and a warm community vibe that feels earned rather than curated, making it the kind of place where you'll want to become a regular.”

I love this place. Living in Inman park, you’ve gotta go back into the surrounding neighborhoods to find anything eclectic and vibey. Awesome, women-led staff who know how to brew some dang good coffee and cook up dang good food. Dog-friendly, which I absolutely love. They’ve made a regular outta me.
I love this place!!! Yummy breakfast sandwiches and coffee with a warm community feel. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. There are events and posters with games to play. Staff was very rude but maybe they had a bad day. Pretty loud here, if you want to work or call I'd time it properly. I would return to check out the outdoor space. edit: just read through some of the reviews, seems like the rudeness is not a one-day event haha. being friendly is free!
I drove from Decatur this morning to try Park Grounds because they offer vegetarian options. I ordered the Kirkwood Sandwich with veggie sausage on a croissant, and the croissant itself was absolutely perfect. However, the fried egg could have used some basic seasoning like salt and pepper, and I would have preferred a more flavorful cheese choice. While the sandwich was well made, it ultimately lacked flavor. As someone who’s been vegetarian for 14 years, I know many of us are willing to go out of our way—especially for breakfast—to find good vegetarian food in the city, but it has to deliver on taste. No knock on Park Grounds, but unless the food is better seasoned, I don’t see myself returning.
I love this place. It’s feels like what a homey coffee shop should feel like. It doesn’t try too hard to be cool. It just simply is. It’s my fav place to grab a drink, pastry and chat with my friends. They also have trivia night, and idk what the schedule is but they’ve also had local musicians play. It’s easily becoming my favorite coffee shop.
I was not expecting so much open space when I came here. In lieu of a parking lot (you have to street park), they have a big outdoor patio and yard in addition to some indoor seating. Definitely go here when it's not raining so you can enjoy the outside. They also have a lot of booze and decent amount of food options, along with board games and books. The only coffee on drip they had was their house blend. It wasn't anything special: had a hint of sweetness and chocolatey notes, pretty standard. I'm glad they served it at drinking temperature though so I did not have to waste time cooling it down. Super recommend this place for the vibes!
