Boomtown Coffee has a really cool, laid back vibe that makes it a great place to relax or get some work done. The space feels welcoming, and it’s a solid spot for studying or meeting up with friends. The coffee is well made and flavorful, and you can tell they care about quality. The pastries and light bites are also good, though the menu isn’t huge. The only downside is that it can get pretty busy, especially during peak hours, and seating can be limited. Overall, though, it’s a strong local coffee shop with good drinks and a great atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to this coffee shop for years, and the staff has always been fantastic. The coffee and pastries have been consistently great, and I’m genuinely glad they’ve returned to early morning hours—that’s a big plus. That said, the recent change in ownership has created some noticeable issues. I’ve tried multiple times to get my loyalty points transferred—messaging through Instagram, the website, and even the new owner directly—and haven’t received a single response. That lack of communication is disappointing. The shop has also lost some of the smooth rhythm it used to have. The new digital system and extra prep steps slow things down without adding any real benefit. These changes don’t improve the customer experience; they just make the process feel clunky. On top of that, one of my go‑to drinks not only went up in price but was renamed to include the new price in the title. It feels more like a gimmick than an improvement. I understand transitions come with bumps, but it seems like too many changes are being rolled out without considering how they affect customers. A little more focus on what already worked well would go a long way. Right now, it feels like a rookie mistake from a team still learning what made this place special.

This place was recommended to me and it did not disappoint! Coffee was great, food was delicious, and the service was fast and friendly! Happy vibes were present and all over this place! The Crud and Breakfast Sandwich with house made sausage were amazing! 🤩🤤

Solid coffee shop. The staff isn’t the draw but the coffee is reliably good and there are some tasty bites. I’ve been here 3-4 times to conclude that the baristas at the Heights location are a bit too rude and eclectic/strange for a franchised based business. Despite tipping, I was given a lot of attitude for asking for a to-go bag? There needs to be a little bit more professionalism at this location in terms of staff. Additionally, store concoctions are very mid. I had the toddy mocha and it just tasted like a regular mocha, nothing special despite the higher price point. Nevertheless, regular espresso drinks and other beverages are good plus the food is good. I recommend the lattes and also the breakfast sandwich is very good. The almond croissant is also decent.

We tried several coffees here. Single drip Ethiopian (fabulous), Vietnamese (Louisiana style), Johnny Cash, Mocha, all were sooooo good. Definitely a great coffee spot.
