I love this place!! Amazing concept and everything was wonderful. I had the best falafel plate of my life made fresh there. I also took home some amazing hummus from Pita Stroller, the best soup from Culinary Creations( vegetarian options), and the milk bread from Silk Road was phenomenal for making pizza bread! Misty gave us a run down of everything and she gives great service! I highly recommend stopping in! It’s easy to check out and super chill vibes. Lots of parking too.
Stopped in and was immediately greeted and helped by Misty. She is a patient ROCK STAR and ensured I was able to get the selection I wanted. I sampled all four Lumpias and two sauces, all of which were delish. I sampled a chicken gyro, falafel, hummus, and red pepper feta. Holy Moly!! Thank goodness I don't live or work in North Charleston anymore. I know where I'd be as frequently as possible. Thanks again, Misty, for all of your help. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.
So excited about trying Mixson Kitchen tonight. Was wanting something unique for dinner and stumbled upon this place on Street Food Finder. Was pleasantly surprised with the variety of food truck options and ready to go items. And they have plans to expand their outside area in the future to make this a truly incredible space. Definitely will be back.
What a wonderful place to get great food. I visited Mixson Kitchen for the first time yesterday to get some lunch for family and friends. There were four ladies working in different areas and they were all very nice and helpful. They helped me order food from the kiosk and I found out that I could have preordered my selections online. All kitchen areas are very clean and organized with modern equipment. The Grab N Go refrigerators were nicely stocked with a variety of desserts, prepared sandwiches, salads, spreads and ready-to-cook items. The Mixson Kitchen is like combining many restaurants, and their food trucks, in one location to provide gourmet fast food. Everything is made fresh with the best ingredients and ready in minutes. For hot food, we ordered from The Pita Stroller the Lamb Gyro with fries which was great. The lamb, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki tasted exactly like a great gyro should. From Lola’s Lumpia we ordered the 16 Pc deep fried Lumpia (Pork) which we all agreed was the best we’ve ever had. For those locals that remember the excellent lumpia from the now closed Oriental Cuisine (OC) restaurant in North Charleston, I believe Lola’s lumpia may be better. The closing of OC and trying to find a comparable alternative is what led me to find Lola’s Lumpia and Mixson Kitchen. From Southerly Sweet we got the oatmeal cream pie that was delicious, and we also got the banana pudding that was very fresh and outstanding. We highly recommend Mixson Kitchen and their associated food trucks. We will look forward to returning soon.
It’s an honor to be the first to leave a review for Mixson Kitchen—because this place deserves serious love. Mixson isn’t just a kitchen. It’s a launchpad. A shared space that gives some of the best up-and-coming food businesses in Charleston a home to create, grow, and serve. You walk in and immediately feel like you're part of something—whether you're grabbing lumpia from Lola’s, Mediterranean from The Pita Stroller, clean eats from Just Fit Kitchen, or anything else coming out of this space. The quality across the board is elite. Every vendor inside brings their own flavor, literally and creatively. You can tell each concept was chosen with intention, and the variety makes this a regular stop no matter what you're craving. What makes Mixson Kitchen special is the way it brings together community, entrepreneurship, and insanely good food—all under one roof. It's like a hidden food hall meets startup incubator, and it’s 100% worth supporting. If you're local, go. If you're visiting Charleston, put this on your list. It’s the kind of spot that makes you proud of the people building something real in your city.
