10 Speed Coffee

1919 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica, CA

Crema's Take

Tucked into Santa Monica, 10 Speed Coffee excels at what it does best: pulling excellent espresso shots and crafting silky matcha lattes under the care of genuinely warm baristas like Aaron and Cody who treat regulars like friends. The spacious, tasteful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to settle in with your laptop for a few hours, though opinions on their food offerings are decidedly mixed—some swear by the chorizo burritos while others have had disappointing experiences. If you're seeking a reliable neighborhood coffee shop where the drinks are thoughtfully made and the vibe invites you to stay awhile, this is worth the visit.

This review is not about the coffee. The breakfast burrito is so bad. It was dried out and tasted very badly. Do not come here and buy this. They need to improve this immediately. Bad!!

10/10 for 10 Speed. Convenient location if you live in Santa Monica. Incredible baristas (Aaron and Cody are sweethearts). Very good matcha, very well-made! Try their burritos too, the chorizo is out of this world. Love this atmosphere too, it’s cozy and cute. Whether you’re passing through the neighborhood or looking for a spot to come and hop on your laptop, look no further.

I wanted to like this coffee shop. The service I received was fantastic and the atmosphere was tasteful. However, you can tell a lot about the quality of the actual product by their house brew, the Kickstand. The coffee had almost no flavor at all, tasting like a little coffee was added to a whole lot of hot water. At $4.50 for a small cup I would anticipate that it should at least have more flavor than McDonald’s coffee. If they refined their brewing proportions and invested in better quality beans, I would try them again!

If you're nearby and seeking a place to relax with a decent cup of coffee, 10 Speed Coffee is worth considering. The staff were courteous and attentive, ensuring that all customers felt welcome and well cared for. The coffee was well-prepared, and I had a pleasant breakfast experience there. The vegan breakfast sandwich was particularly enjoyable. The atmosphere was comfortable, making it a suitable spot to unwind.
